I generally refrain from leaving bad reviews because I believe bad energy will take care of itself and will attract what it deserves. However, this is an exception. The regular hours posted for this store are 9 to 5... that is an absolute illusion. The store opens whenever and closes whenever and I can say it confidently because I am familiar with this store. Today I waited for an hour before someone showed up to open the store. Upon checking the web, the open time was set for 11 am, not 9am as the signs inside the store say. It opened at 11:34, after a gentleman went by at 11:10 and announced, upon my asking, that he would open soon. The counter opens and I was finally asked to step up for service. When I asked for a money order the man said he was unable to process a money order for me because he was not the regular attendant of that store. I suggested that the public should be made aware of these details so that we do not waste our time. He was dismissive and really could not care any less shrugging the whole thing off with the "not my problem" attitude. During the full hour I was there waiting many people stood in line and left (they do have a camara that will confirm this) because the store itself was open but the dispatch/service counter closed. So, people waited a bit to see if the counter would open but eventually left. I was in emergency mode so I waited. This is unacceptable. If managing this store with a minimum of diligence is too much to ask, they should just close it permanently. The details of the operation should at least be published daily on the web for that store including if services are limited to certain transactions so that we do not waste our precious time. I do hope...
Read moreOMG where do I start. Worst experience I think I have ever had interacting with anyone in the service industry. And I’m not exaggerating! Working in customer facing industry myself I understand it can be extremely challenging to deal with people. HOWEVER, Pat clearly is a miserable person and not happy in life or with her job. I walk into this location early because I had a stack of priority envelope that needed to be mailed out individually. I assumed I would go early so that it would be less busy and I could give the attendant plenty of time to take care of my needs. Pat looks at me and tells me that she will not be running each one of my envelope separately. She said “can’t you see I’m the only one here and I ain’t got time for that” I said “is this the full-service post office?” And Pat replied “it ain’t today“. She proceeds to say “get out of my line now”. I didn’t ask Pat if I had any other options to get these out today and she said “go to another office“. Pat proceeds to tell me that her manager has directed her not to process any large quantities of mail because she is by herself. And of course when I ask for the Managers information she will not give me a name and tells me feel free to call anybody I would like that she doesn’t care. When I told her I wasn’t leaving because I needed to get the packages out today she immediately call security and ask them to have me leave. #TerriblePat...
Read moreI get it these jobs must be very frustrating due to dealing with all sorts of people that have all sorts of schedules they're trying to meet. But why start the day off with unnecessary frustration for those who come on time?? I had an appointment at a consulate at 10:20am... So I got to the post office at 9:20am to get a money order. You'd think it'd be enough time and if the line was long then it's on you because you should have gotten their sooner. In this case it was not even open until 9:45. IT IS SUPPOSED TO OPEN AT 9. When I got to the front at 10am the worker had to get change in the back and then proceeded to chat for a couple of minutes with another worker. When I politely intruded and said, "excuse me, ma'am I have an appointment at a consulate in 20 min.." I was cut off with a stern finger saying "hold on." I held on for almost an hour for what was supposed to take 5 minutes and yet she is telling ME to hold on. I continued to be polite and so were the 3 people in front of me that had been waiting since 9. There are tons of post offices out there... Go to another. I would have if I...
