The açaí place was absolutely spectacular. They had great customer service and very were efficient. Unfortunately, the so called “security team” and janitors were beyond rude and nagging. My bible study group of 7 diverse, talented and studios young women were harassed numerously. To inhibit any of these fine ladies feeling left out, we decided to move some chairs. Such a minor and harmless gesture of friendship ended up being a crime to these staff members of this barely functioning establishment. One of the workers was kind enough to warn us about moving chairs, so we complied. As we start to stand up another worker greets us, but not so kindly as the following worker. This person in a position of power and authority began to berate us and threaten us if we did not move the chairs. Once again we kindly agreed and placed all the chairs exactly where they were in the first place. We began our ascent up to the second level where we were told there would be more chair space and wouldn’t have to move anything. Disappointment struck as we scoured to find a table big enough to fit our party of 7. To our surprise, all of the tables only fit 2 or 4 people. Once again we made the executive decision to move some chairs to make everyone feel welcome and safe. We thought that we were in the clear, until another worker aggressively told us to move the chairs. We promised solemnly to move the chairs back and we were met with nasty glares and dirty looks as we attempted to enjoy our meals. The funniest part about this interaction was not getting profusely disturbed, but the fact that men all around us were taking part in moving chairs, but the workers were nowhere to be seen when they moved the chairs. Why is it that our group of soon to be successful career women were singled out? Our conclusion is that the workers are extremely sexist and hate women and...
Read moreThe market was nice and the variety of food was great but our visit was completely ruined by the obnoxiously rude facilities staff that harassed us and our children. Jeffery (facilities staff) rudely told us to put chairs we moved back (as we were doing it), we had a party of 7 and the tables had 4 chairs. There was only 1 person upstairs and they were nowhere near us. Jeffrey yelled at our children for walking near a walkway that connects to the elevator. Watched us while we ate while loudly watching videos on his tablet, and then called security on us for being near the "forbidden walkway." Secruity (Anthony) came and was confused as to why Jeffery was acting the way he was, took us over the walkway and introduced us to Rae who was also part of facilities, apologizing for Jeffery the entire time. Anthony was a consummate professional remaining calm and understanding. He listened to me a was able to ensure Jeffery was no longer harassing us. Rae was also very attentive and made sure Jeffery stopped harassing us and even advised him he was being hostile as he confronted me and two toddlers one last time. I'm not sure why Jeffery kept bothering us, I'm sure him having worked there for 10+ years has made him very proud and passionate about his role. That being said he had no right treating me and my family the way he did. I will never set foot in that place again and if you have any curious children stay away from the hallway that connects to the elevator as I'm sure Jeffery will be around to harass you and your family...
Read moreThe parking lot was adjacent to the city market where we had to park was terrible. The signage to get in & out was reversed. It said it was open to the public but it really wasn’t apparently supposed to be, then the attendant was not happy with us. We paid at the credit card machine in the lobby, but then the arm at the exit would not let us out. Then the attendant said that we didn’t even have to pay because parking was free anyway!!! Then why did they even bother with the arm being down???
City Market was an absolute joke!!! Nothing was even there except for one booth and they were closing their booth down in a couple of days!!! They are building condominiums there!!! Thank goodness they are demolishing the old building!!! It’s too bad, it was a fun place to go to shop and have a fun lunch with friends!!! Guess the almighty dollar...
