I’m updating my review from 3 to 5 stars based on the thoughtful response from the owner and because they fully refunded our order after seeing my review. It’s clear they care and sincerely want all customers to be highly satisfied. I did think I was fair in my original review and was careful not to be offensive. I assumed the issue was with the machine or beans, not than the barista.

It seems there was some defensiveness to my feedback, so I will share that I order a breve cortado everywhere I go… I’ve ordered this drink at 100+ coffee shops over the years (I travel a lot for work!) Some are better than others, but something definitely went wrong with this one. It was almost white like pure half n half with just a splash of coffee… not exaggerating. That’s how I could tell something was wrong before even tasting it. My hubby also orders espresso drinks a lot. And we have an espresso machine at home. So we’re knowledgeable and enjoy good coffee, but we’re in no way coffee snobs with ridiculous expectations. We could tell she was a little offended when I let her know about the issue with mine, so my hubby opted not to say anything about his drink. I wasn’t about to ask her to make mine a third time as that would just be rude. Based on the many other positive reviews and sincere response from the owner, I can only assume this was a total fluke. A for effort, incredible service, and commitment to happy customers.

I hate leaving negative reviews, but we went in based on all the positive reviews and were disappointed today. 5 stars for the intent, 0 stars for the actual coffee drinks. The owners were very nice, and they have the sweetest dog and toddler. My breve cortado came out looking (and tasting) like steamed milk with a splash of coffee. The lady who made it was thoughtful enough to ask me to try it and let her know if it was ok. I was honest and said it seemed like something went wrong. I watched her make the second one. I’m at a loss for what the problem was as she appeared to make it right other than maybe over-steaming the half n half. I can only assume the issue is with the beans or the extraction method… tasted nothing like espresso, more like super watered down coffee with some half n half. My hubby’s drink had 3 shots of espresso with cold brew and a little almond milk, yet it also somehow tasted super watered down. A for effort and good vibes. But something was way amiss with the coffee today. Sadly, they went straight in the trash. Hopefully it was just a bad day… lots of good reviews so maybe just temporary issue with the espresso machine. Wish them...

A cute barista named Becca made the best dang atmosphere a tiny, quaint place could have by filling the space with a big welcoming personality. The drinks served are the kind that makes you feel like someone synthesized angels into drinkables, and despite their angelic disposition , white pants are a safe bet. I didnt know what I wanted, but Becca whipped up the Heisenberg and it didnt dissapoint. It gave a knuckle bump to my taste buds and turned them into taste pals, which may one day create a taste family. Far from unmentionable - this is the ONLY place that didn't charge me extra because I'm lactose intolerant, but delivered extra because they are dairy free friendly. They not only had the regulars (oat, almond and soy) but they had coconut and hemp milk. That's right, they milked the hemp plant (which is my second favorite 'milk'). The hemp cold foam tastes like freedom, and goes hard enough that I would fully expect a cold foam monologue to bust out of any drinker of it. Simply inspiring. Could create a religion. I would definitely go back and slurp down some serenity in this chill space with some of the coolest tunes I ever heard kicking about in a coffee house. Edit—I did a review because they did a cute trade a friendship bracelet for a review. I gave the below review, which was honest. The coffee was good, not excellent, and it was priced high in my opinion. So I gave a good, 4-star review. Then the owner sent a response saying that I was the only “swiftie” that gave less than 5-stars, and that I could “afford Taylor Swift tickets though”, as if that had anything to do with coffee pricing. It was incredibly offensive and rude, and if you ask for reviews, you should expect honest reviews, not just 5-star reviews because you bribed with bracelets. The response below was edited and she said that I could come back and get a free coffee for a 5 star review. I will never be back because I don’t take bribes for 5-star reviews, and you honestly put a serious damper on my day with your rude and disrespectful response to my honest, good 4-star review. So I am lowering my review rating to a three for your unprofessionalism.
