I stopped in looking for something for my kitchen faucet but they didn't carry it so I had to order it off Amazon. Finding an employee to assist you is quite hard or at least it was for me that day. I had to track down someone and when I finally found someone they didn't know anything about plumbing and tried to hand me off to someone else who was busy doing other things. When that person was ready to help me, they at first didn't understand what it was I needed. I know what I asked for absolutely is what it's called coz when I got home and entered the exact same name into Amazon, what I needed immediately came up with that name search. I don't expect everyone to know everything from the department they work in since I have no idea how long they've worked there or what their experiences have been BUT what I was asking for is a very common item. I needed a faucet adapter to be able to hook up a portable dishwasher or washing machine. I was very disappointed and quite surprised a place as big as this didn't have this. What was told to me by the employee was I should try the plumbing supply place in downtown Indy. That's not going to happen. I don't drive in downtown anywhere. Its this service or maybe I should say LACK of service that's making ppl shop online at places like Amazon. This is how places start to go out of business. A place like this should have simple items like this in stork. It wasn't that they were simply sold out, the employee stated, flat out, they...
Read moreI purchased a vest for my wife for Christmas (134979734-L : Cutter and Buck Purdue Boilermakers Womens Charcoal Evoke Vest). However, apparently, Cutter and Buck "large" runs smaller than other brands (she owns three other vests, all "large" and all fit her fine). While I purchased the vest online I decided to return/exchange it to the Southport Commons store to save the return shipping costs. I just wanted to exchange it for an XL. All of the folks at the store were great and worked with me for about 45 minutes, trying to figure out a way to make the exchange. But apparently the online purchase was what they called a "drop ship" which I guess means that it was purchased from Cutter and Buck through Rally House. So all they could do at the store was refund my purchase price; which they did. My problem was that I purchased the vest on sale for 20% off but it is no longer on sale (That's why the people at the store tried so hard to find a way to keep me from having to pay an additional $30, just to exchange for a size larger.)
So while I give the Southport Commons "store" a 5-star review for their effort, I'd give Rally House a 1-star for creating a problem that can only be solved by paying extra money. As of yet I haven't re-purchased the vest, hoping maybe it will go on sale again after the first...
Read moreNice strip plaza to visit for all sorts of things. Pier 1 has gone out of business(RIP) However, there are all sorts of stores in a wedged, enclosed lot, one story, outdoor plaza that is next to exit 103 (Southport Road) off I-65 (which runs North to South.) This plaza has many popular stores and also restaurants which stand alone within the parking lot. We visit Longhorn Steakhouse, and we are never disappointed. Other stores include,Home Depot w/Garden Center, Target, Justice, Bath&Body Works, Kohls, Boot Barn and AT&T Store and Kittle's Furniture Outlet. The restaurants in the enclosed parking lot are Uno-Chicago Pizzaria, O'Charley's, Longhorn Steakhouse, Penn Station East Coast Subs. Signature Nails. Regions Bank. All of these businesses are 1st floor/one story w/ ♿ parking and access. Many of them have curbside pickup and Online or phone ordering. All these stores encourage social distancing and require face masks, unless customer has an exemption. I have had all positive experiences in every store I have visited- which would be most of them. The Home Depot has an extensive garden center with very...
