They didn't respect my appointment time, failed to repair my device or follow-up, and damaged my phone case. They did not seem malicious, but I wouldn't trust them my phone.
I had to leave work early to get to my appointment on time. I still showed up early for my appointment but didn't see any staff member in the store until over 20 minutes after my appointment time.
When I finally got to speak to someone, they told me the repair couldn't be completed. That it would take 5+ hours. That they needed multiple days to get the part. I'd assumed since I booked in advance and through Samsung (this shop is an official repair partner) that the repair was on track. As far as I can tell this was all false.
Instead, after waiting well after my appointment time, I was told to wait for an email in a day or two (they never followed up).
That would have been frustrating on its own, but after that the employee grabbed my phone without asking and ripped off the case, damaging it in the process.
To his credit, he did apologize and seemed to really try and empathize with me. On the other hand now my case won't stay on my phone, I'd wasted a bunch of time, and they couldn't complete the repair I'd scheduled in advance. I'd like to think he was really being honest with me, but he also gave me a lengthy explanation about why my phone couldn't be repaired that day which contradicted my experience at an official Samsung store.

Read moreThey have highlighted that they "Price Match". And when I brought a quote for comparison, they give me a reason that they cannot price match since they don't get the parts for cheap from their supplier.
Seriously? Then why would one advertise that they Price Match. I understand there are policies surrounding it but even after acknowledging the competitor price, they were not ready because it would cut their profit.
The representative at the store however is very helpful. She went an extra mile to get us the best possible quote; however her manager did not approve of the request and we ended up getting it fixed from YUFIXIT (excellent service there).
Adding 1 extra star for the woman representative at this store!
EDIT after Owner's Respone: While I had the back glass replacement issue, the quote I got was for the back housing replacement which I ended up getting for the said price. So the replacement in question is indeed a BACK HOUSING replacement and not just the back glass replacement. The store manager communicated me well that the housing need to be replaced and this is exactly what I ended up getting fixed for much less than $200. It is indeed Apples to Apples comparison!
