KC Live! — Attraction in Kansas City

I haven’t been down here since Covid. Only for lack of a specific reason. When a friend offered up an extra ticket to see the Floozies…? Why not! I had a great time. I did expect more people to be honest, being a Saturday Night. I’m not going to complain. We had general admission tickets. Sure, VIP would have been cool…. But we didn’t miss out on much really. Some promo bonuses and actions on each side of the stage… but who really wants to watch a show from the side? When the GA put you right in front.(packed but not squished). We wondered around the venue, deciding the best stops to watch the show off the floor are…. The cross-walk/bridge over the venue allowing access from one side to the other. Maybe even better is the view from the staircase (closer to the stage) 1/2 way down is a small platform, overlong a perfect view. Check it out… the entire performance space (stage) is lifted up just enough you can mage to see well anywhere in the courtyard, and the horse show like buildings around it all has various food/drink options. Bathrooms- the ?? Point you need to go into one of the actual rest/clubs around the edges. So you may have to fight the crowd to get to/find them. Unless I missed something. Perhaps if you’re a regular…. You know...

The concert was fantastic and Lee Brice put on one hell of a great show!! 💯❤️🔥 (Even though it was delayed by yet Another!! 😝summer thunderstorm ⛈️) The sound was pretty good and the video screen was great. It would have been VERY HELPFUL if there would have been big signs or HUMANS directing traffic to the KC LIVE Parking Garage‼️ We stopped and talked to a Security guard and 4 different carloads of people and NOT ONE of them, including us‼️ knew if we were in the correct Parking Garage. Confusing and Frustrating! 😝 We arrived early to snag a table and some dinner at Guy's Tacos. But they could have cared less that they had any customers. 🙄😣 Service was horrible, the place was covered in dirty tables and leftover dishes!! We finally got a chance to move to the bar and the service improved somewhat. The food, LUCKILY, was good. The drinks were super weak - not really sure if there was ANY tequila in mine?? (at $14 each!) My girlfriend was very unimpressed ... Especially since we each spent over $60 for 4 street size tacos and 2 cocktails and beer. Not the best way to get repeat...

I was here on Saturday for the Tinashe concert. The show was incredible and it was nice that the venue has coverage from the sun. However, I’m only giving two stars. First of all, it was clearly advertised that doors opened at 6:00 and the show started at 7:00. I got there shortly before 6:30 and the opener did not go on until past 8:00. Tinashe didn’t go on until almost 9:30. It was extremely irritating having to stand for an extra hour that I was not planning on. There was no communication from the venue that this was going to happen or why. The other reason is that a large “Don’t Tread On Me” flag was hanging directly behind the backstage doors for everyone to see, as it was opened frequently before the show started. It is extremely inappropriate and unprofessional to have something like that hanging in your business, especially during an event that was specifically marketed to celebrate Pride Month.
