Lux beauty spa — Attraction in Los Angeles

I confess that I was asked by the proprietor to "update my review" to balance out a recent negative review somebody left out of spite, after being refused sexual services. As a public service announcement, I can't tell you where to look for that, but I can tell you where not to look: Thai Town. I've lived here for years and it's just not the place for it.

Besides that, I stand by everything I said in my original review, below.

I've been coming here for Thai/combination massage since before it was Lux. I have chronic back pain and need regular tune-ups. Everyone here is capable, and some are truly gifted. I feel lucky I found such a reliable place so close to me; near enough to walk but also there's always parking. This is the second time I’ve come to Lux Beauty Spa and I will definitely return again! The spa is tucked into a small plaza with other businesses—you almost wouldn’t notice it. But once inside, you won’t regret finding this gem of a massage studio. The spa is very clean and calming. The staff are quite professional and absolutely exceptional at their job.

Each time I’ve come here it’s because I had awful back or shoulder pain. Then I leave with no pain, thinking that this is the best massage I’ve had in years. They offer an amazing late morning/early afternoon deal—if your appointment is between 10 AM - 2 PM, it’s $65 for a one-hour massage. Fantastic! I’ve received a mixture of Thai, Swedish, and hot stone massage each time that truly relieves any tension in your whole body.

I came in for their facial & massage combo and I loved my experience there. My masseuse Cici was firm and got out all my knots from my shoulders, and Paris was a wonderful facial expert and my skin is glowing days later. They both did a fantastic job and I will absolutely be returning for repeat services.
