Gamestop clearly announced rules for this giveaway as well as Epic Games and the "Area Manager" decided to change the "rules" to scam people. This was ment to help Gamestop because they can't even afford to keep employees or keep stores open. There's other better game stores in the area, go to Vintage Stock or Got Games is a great unique store with tons of classic gear.

BEWARE pre-ordering anything at this store. I've already been burned twice.

The first case was a year ago which I let slide. I preordered a game and went to pick it up after work on release date. When I got there, they said there was some kind of mix up and didn't order enough of said item. I was most certainly upset, but didn't throw a fit over it because luckily the Walmart directly across the street had it in stock.

The second time was the most recent occurrence and was a bigger deal to me. I'd been waiting literally months to get the new PS VR headset. When I saw online that they were releasing another bundle, my first thought was to just order it online (which I should have done). The release date online said it would be coming out on the 21st.

In the end, however, I went to this store thinking I would help out my local business because I used to work retail and know it helps cashiers out. Also this Gamestop is on my way home from work.

The sales person was very eager to help and friendly (which is why i gave two stars rather than just one). When I purchased my VR bundle, I paid for me preorder IN FULL. I didn't just put a deposit down, I paid the $500+ IN FULL.

I was unable to make it on the 21st but promptly came in on the 22nd. Imagine my surprise when I found out Gamestop had bumped up the release date of the VR bundle from the 21st to the 13th. This of course was not indicated on my receipt, not told at time of purchase, nor was i given any kind of notification. No one called and I didn't get an email (though I know Gamestop has my email because I have a power pro membership and they send me advertising SPAM on a weekly basis).

I was a little irritated knowing I could have enjoyed my VR a week earlier, but no sweat, or so I thought. Turns out Gamestop has a policy that if you don't pick up your preorder within 48 hours of release, they can sale it. Of course they do nothing at all to contact your before or after selling it. They just do it.

What upsets me the most is that I had no way of knowing that release date changed. Gamestop never informed me and neither did their store. I just showed up a week later to find my PAID IN FULL preorder was gone.

So what I get out of this entire experience is that preorders mean nothing to Gamestop. Apparently the associates at this store are so eager to make their own personal sales, they are willing to sale an item which was already paid for in full! Seriously, this wouldn't have hurt Gamestop's sales at all because I didn't just put a deposit down, I paid IN FULL. So friendliness aside, some of the associates here just don't care enough about the first customers if they can please a second one.

In the end, i had to drive all the way to Edmond to get one of the last VR headsets available in the OKC metor. Had I not been in a rush to have it before the weekend for a party, I would have just repurchased it on Amazon.

So far, Amazon hasn't let me down and is where I will conduct my preorders from now on. At least i know it will be shipped for free and on time, and I don't have to worry about some eager associate selling my PAID IN FULL item from right under my nose.

Really Gamestop, learn to treat your customers better and fulfill your promises! I held up my end of the bargain by giving you my money far in advance! What even is the point of...

If I could give zero Stars I would the day after Christmas Asher was beyond awful when we got screwed on two games and she told us and the manager to sell them on Facebook marketplace we came in on Christmas Eve and we bought resident evil for our Xbox we were told that they were compatible with our new game console we did not get the newest one and we did not buy our game console there but we bought the games the wireless controller The game pass spent quite a bit of money they said that they couldn't return the games because they were opened something about copyright infringement which ended up being garbage cuz I came to the Santa Fe location and I was very well taken care of by the manager Brad we didn't even have no direct eye contact she looked like she didn't really care about what we had to say I don't know if it was because of our skin color being a black couple but I felt very out of place I will not be going back to this location because I was very well taken care of at another location with no problem she said if the games were unopened it would have been fine or if it was pre-owned what is the difference between pre-owned and an open game opened is opened and you're telling us about copyright infringement how? Just doesn't make any sense the manager said she worked at Walmart and she's seen copyright infringement being an issue on returning games movies and other things like this I just don't see what copyright has to do with a return she just didn't want to do the return my complaint is on the entire store as well as the person that helped us which is the tall Caucasian heavy set guy because they should have checked when we showed the label as to what we had and the resident evil game was not compatible...

I've been going to this location since it first opened up. Many years ago my friends and I would go there to hang out, check out games, and if possible just chat it up with the employees. One year for a major release I was stuck at work, since we knew the staff they allowed my roommate to pick up my copy as well.

Through out the years I had found out about new releases, or got reminders about others, because they were doing their job of suggested selling. When it comes time to needing some extra cash I trade in games I haven't played in years and actually get something back. Pay attention to their advertising, there's been times I've walked out with $60+ CASH because of promotions for pro members gets the same amount cash as store credit. Just recently I had $66 worth of store credit in games, went to preorder Zelda on the Switch. Promotion was extra trade value towards Switch related products so I ended up getting Zelda and $30 in PSN credit.

When you see reviews about them pushing pre owned, selling warranties, or other services it's their job. Company policy is for them to do that, just like selling pre orders if not picked up in 48 hours. Giving a poor review on this specific location based on company policy is stupid, look for the reviews about quality of service. Even though I'm not here at least once a week like I was many years ago, I have always received...
