The quality here has really gone up! I will say that itās harder to find good items these days (but I blame rising prices), but youāll still find some good stuff every so often. The staff is also a good mix right now! Used to have a few unsavory characters but itās gotten really better recently and I Love checking this place out when I get the chance.
Senior citizens get 10% on Tuesdayās (I think)! So Definitely check this place out and give them your business. They support anti-consumption, underprivileged people, and they help with job placement.
Iāve heard some issues of this goodwill and the headquarters stealing wages from the workers and denying them lunches and things like that but that was a few years back. And thatās not the workersā fault so definitely give them your support when and if you can.
Best place for seasonal purchases! Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas are always bumping!
Fewer electronics and furniture than Iād like to see, but still a good mix. Too many clothes for my liking but thereās a lot of kids clothes if you need any and a good selection of shoes but they go fast!
Altogether Iād say a 3.5 or 4/5 but itās slowly improving and Iāll continue to give them my business as long as staff is polite and friendly and forthcoming. Appreciate this in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLast Saturday afternoon, on July 9th, I visited the Goodwill store in search of a bookshelf. To my surprise, they charged an audacious $64 for a used bookshelf that didn't even have a price tag. My friend and I had to carry it by ourselves to the cashier, only to be informed of this exorbitant price. When I inquired about the high price, the person behind the counter said that was the price and didn't show any willingness to reconsider.
When I asked to speak to the manager, the young teller responded very rudely, claiming to be the manager himself and insisting that the $64 price tag was non-negotiable. While he may indeed be the manager, in America, when we escalate an issue to the manager, we don't expect such discourteous behavior. It's disheartening to see that such American values were not displayed, and the employee failed to recognize that Goodwill stores are meant to offer discounted prices for used items. I must say, I am deeply disappointed with this experience.
In comparison to other Goodwill stores, the Goodwill store at Milpitas falls short in terms of the quality and availability of inventory and products. This could be attributed to the lack of nearby competition.
Thank you for considering my feedback.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you are a Filipino and wants to get a job at Goodwill Milpitas better luck next time! A friend of mine applied 5 or 6 times and never had a chance to get in unless you're Hispanic. I used the bathroom located at the warehouse and I overheard a conversation, couple employees stating do not hire this Filipina that had applied so many times and when I got out the bathroom I noticed this person talking later I found out she is a supervisor or something, she's a heavy set lady named Sandra which everyone knows she's kinda a mean woman, doesn't say hi to customers or smile and she act like a GM but too friendly only to Hispanic customers ....talking about racist huh! So, we know now you have to be Hispanic to work at Goodwill Milpitas because majority that they hired is their own people, just visit the store and see it for yourself! For me, any management or supervisor position should not be talking where they can be heard by a customers, its kinda unprofessional. And that Sandra, she needs additional training for her behavior and definitely a...
