A Great Tavern Near Bucks' Giannis' Arena Worth Trying 🏮

I ordered a alcoholics beverage of the brown they carry with coke. Nothing was added to it by me the person who was suppose to be drinking it. Once I recieved my drink there was a thick clunky substance in the bottom of my glass. I began to drink it when I swallowed something that was not liquid. Once brought to the waitress(bartender)also waiter attention they did but once apologize and told me they didn't know what I had swallowed and they would remake it. I dragged the white round clump with a dark layer out the glass on to the table- they they picked it up and said o they dont know what it is.10 mins after two friend joined and they brought glasses if water for them, one of the glasses had the same substance floating in their water cup.as if they didn't just have a issue so make sure to double check the glasses no they didn't. I didn't get a picture of my cup which had much more but took a picture if my friend cup. Again no one took ownership apologized or anyway to rectify the situation, and only suggestedwas to remake the 8 dollars drink I had ordered and still pay for it. I'm disgusted. Once I told bartender I swallowed whatever it was she said o I don't know what that is. Poor customer service

Milwaukee Brat House sits on 3rd St adjacent to the Hof Brau House. There a dark, deep bar inside and tables outside for warm months. We choose outside when possible since it’s so much brighter and covered. There’s a good amount of beer options on tap including local and national brands. Lakefront is my favorite in the area and the East Side Dark lager is my standard. Also worthy is New Glarus Moon Man. Beers come out in twos…meaning you get two small mugs to crush. The menu is standard regional bar food done well. The German/regional influences include appetizers such as huge pretzels, sausage samplers and, of course, perfectly fried cheese curds. They offer signature Usinger brats such as The Southsider (Bacon, Jalapeños and Cheese), The Farwell (Bacon, Pesto and Gouda) and a German Brat with Kraut, Mustard and Onions. All great options. Service is good. They are busy bringing beer, cocktails and food to all corners of the bar. Parking is tough so take an Uber/Lyft. There’s a shuttle to take you to and from the stadium to catch a Brewers game.

My friends and I were excited to try this place based on other friends recommendations, especially on such a pretty day to sit outside, but the experience was a complete let down. The server had no voice, which is fine, even though it puts off a “I’m sick” vibe, but she was just not good at all. If she was sick, she needed to stay home and heal herself. She tried balancing waters to deliver, almost spilled them, took forever to take our drink orders, seemed annoyed that we wanted to order food and then literally as soon as we put our order in said “well I’m about to leave so I’ll close you out” and walked away. Wow, ok. She should’ve told us that prior to us ordering so we could’ve just paid her for drinks and then had another server wait on us for food, but she obviously wanted the tip money on a bigger bill for the food. We paid and never saw her again. The food came and she had upcharged me $10 to sub out the fries for cheese curds which I did not ask for, as we had already had a full appetizer of cheese curds, and did not realize I had already paid for because the bill just had the name of the entree I ordered. The person who delivered our food said it was a hefty upcharge for that and since I’d already paid I could have a free beer. Never saw him again or anyone actually, so obviously I never got that free beer. We got our own silverware rolls, extra napkins, mustard, refills on water, and sharing plates. We never got a second round of beers but we didn’t push for it as no one there cared, so why should we spend more money there. The burger was bland, the salad was so boring and lacked flavor, and the “most popular sausage dish” according to the voice-less server, was literally inedible. It not only lacked flavor but was gross! We all tried a bite and 2 of us spit it out. The sauerkraut was pointless. The grilled Johnsonville brats and canned sauerkraut I make at home for a quick snack is 1,000% better than this crap I paid $25 for, that’s for the one sausage, BS sauerkraut and substituted cheese curds. The curds and Octoberfest beer were the only decent part of our first, and only, experience at this place. We will not be back and encourage others to...

I’ve always loved this bar and make a point to stop by every time I visit Milwaukee. The food is consistently great, and the service has always been excellent—until this past Saturday, October 12th at 10 PM. Unfortunately, what started as a fantastic evening turned into the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant.

For most of the evening, our server, who had a man bun and Prada glasses, was wonderful—super friendly and attentive. As the place got busier, it became a bit harder to get his attention, which is understandable. After about 15 minutes, we just wanted to order one last beer and the check. Since our server seemed occupied, I politely flagged down another server, a balding man, and asked for a Spotted Cow and the check.

A couple of minutes later, our original server came back and asked if we needed anything, so I repeated my request, assuming the second server had asked him to follow up. However, when the balding server returned with the beer, he unexpectedly began yelling at me, using a barrage of obscenities. He aggressively questioned why I had ordered twice and used offensive and degrading language that left both me and my girlfriend stunned. We had only had a couple of drinks and were sober, simply enjoying a post-show meal, so to be treated in such a hostile manner was shocking.

What made the situation even more disheartening was that I’ve always loved this bar. The food that evening was, as always, excellent, and every other staff member we interacted with, including our original server and even the busboy, was professional and kind. This one interaction, however, completely overshadowed everything else.

In the end, I still left a 10% tip, though I normally would have left 20%, but I couldn’t after being treated so disrespectfully. I felt bad for our original server, but the behavior of the other server was completely unacceptable. I wanted to share this experience, especially for management’s awareness. If I owned this place, I would want to know if employees were treating long-time customers this way. As much as I’ve enjoyed coming here in the past, I’m not sure if I can bring myself to return after...

If you’re looking for an authentic taste of Wisconsin, look no further than the Milwaukee Brat House! This charming eatery captures the spirit of Milwaukee with its lively atmosphere, friendly service, and, of course, mouthwatering bratwursts that will leave you craving more.

From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the inviting smell of grilled sausages and a vibrant, welcoming ambiance that feels like a neighborhood gathering spot. The decor pays homage to the city’s rich brewing and sports culture, making it a perfect spot for locals and visitors alike.

The menu is a brat lover’s paradise, featuring a fantastic selection of house-made brats, each bursting with flavor. The classic bratwurst is a must-try—perfectly grilled and served on a fresh bun with a variety of toppings to choose from. Whether you prefer sautéed onions, tangy mustard, or a zesty relish, the choices allow you to customize your brat just the way you like it. Don’t skip the specialty brats either; the cheese-stuffed brat is an absolute game-changer!

Beyond the brats, Milwaukee Brat House offers a variety of delicious sides, including crispy cheese curds that are a Wisconsin staple. The fries are perfectly seasoned and a great accompaniment to any meal. If you’re feeling adventurous, the loaded nachos topped with brat pieces and jalapeños are a fantastic shareable option.

The service is top-notch, with attentive staff who are eager to make your experience memorable. They’re knowledgeable about the menu and always happy to recommend their favorites. Whether you're dining in or enjoying the outdoor patio on a sunny day, the atmosphere is always buzzing with energy—perfect for catching a game or enjoying a cold local brew from their impressive selection.

Overall, Milwaukee Brat House is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Wisconsin fare in a fun and lively setting. The combination of delicious food, friendly service, and a true sense of community makes it a standout spot in Milwaukee. I can’t wait to return for another brat and a refreshing drink—this place has quickly become one of my...
