On Wednesday, November-18-2020 my wife and I entered the store to purchase some candle holders. We were greeted 3 minutes after entering the location by sales associate Shaukat Hussain. He was very friendly and professional listening too us and directed us to areas in the store that we could exam for our needs.
After a while we found the candle holders we were looking for. Mr. Hussain was about to write up the transaction via a terminal that requires a credit card to complete the purchase. When we explained to him we had another card we wanted to use he said with that card we had to complete the purchase at the counter so he lead us to the counter and said the lady associate would help us when she got off the phone.
In the time being he went and got a bag and bagged our items. From the time we entered the store, there had to be about 3 other customers and about 3 sales associates and a store manager inside. this lady associate had been on the phone from the time we entered the store up to the time Mr. Hussian placed us first in line in front of her and she never looked up to acknowledge our presence.
We stood there for about 10 minutes without her saying a word to us. granted it appeared she was handling a customer complaint over the phone, however that is no excuse not to acknowledge customers standing in front of you with a simple "I will be with you ".
After about 5 more minutes i asked one of the sales associates to speak to the manager. The manager advised me that because of the type of store card we were using we had to be seen at the finance desk. I explained to him my concern about the lack of customer concern on the part of the Lady associate at the finance desk talking on the phone and not acknowledging us after standing in front of her for about 11 minutes total.
The manager walked with me back over to the finanice desk and stood there with use for about a minute without saying anything to her but looking in her direction and left. after a minute of him walking away the Lady associate got off the phone and took care of us.
This was my third time buying something from this store. The first and second times were amazing with no issues and great service. Sure we could have just walked out and left the items, but minor incidents can turn into major issues for companies when you have associates not meeting company standards of professionalism, especially during this period of covid were some may want to get in and out of stores as soon as possible. Great job by the sales associate, the manager, and even the finance associate did was knowledgeable once she assisted us.
Would I return to this store, absolutely, as a senior it is nice and convenient with products i like.
Once that sales associate enters your information in the floor terminal, they know you are a repeat customer, as such I expect better treatment than I received...
Read moreRay and Christina are the best. In this society we live in Customer Service is a lost art. I went to T Mobile today in the same parking lot today and got the worst service ever. There were 5 employees working , my husband and I and another couple. Three employees were shooting the breeze, one employee was helping the other customer and Kevin helping. Kevin was so irritated helping us. He actually told us he didn't have time to help us because he had to help other customers. I looked around and said sarcastically oh, u have to help the other 1,000 customers in here. He wouldn't look up my account, he said go on T Mobile app and he told me to call Samsung instead of trying to fix the problem. I asked to speak to his boss and he was just as insensitive and disinterested than Kevin. Of course, Kevin denied everything. My husband intervened and he said he heard the same thing that I heard. The bosses answer was they are training the customer to do their own customer service. We just wasted gas for nothing. Verizon, we're coming back, sorry we left. All this to say, Jerome's customer service is Awesome Sauce, Amazing and Authentic!!!! Ray and Christina gave us their undivided attention, their top notch service and very professional wisdom and knowledge. They were very personalized in the way the treated us, nothing mattered at the time but us. We even talked about my pug, Bam Bam. We went in to file a claim and walked out with a piece of Heaven. We were so impressed we took our doggy to see them. Ray was so kind to take a couple of minutes to come out and greet us. That's customer service. We ended up buying a rug from Ray yesterday. While we there another couple were there being served and we noticed they were getting a little piece of Heaven from another associate. That's Customer service. I wish Jerome himself can see this post, this store deserves the recognition especially Ray and Christina. Charlene has helped me in the past and she Rocks also!!! As stated before, customer service at Jerome's is Awesome Sauce, Amazing and Authentic. Hey Jerry, they should be in one of ur commercials and when you come and reward them, make sure you let us know, We want to be there to witness the recognition. Read moreMay was our sales associate and she was awesome. She went above and beyond to make our experience the best I have ever had. My husband and I have been looking for new living room furniture and have gone everywhere where we were rushed or made feel like we were not worth their time because we were looking just trying to figure out what we wanted.y husband went into Jerome's in Moreno Valley first where he met May. Hours later he brought me back to look at what they had. We looked she got us approved for financing but i still wanted to think about our choices and decisions. The next day my husband went back where May had pulled different pillows, rugs, throws, ect so my husband could send me pictures to really get the feel of what our living room would look like. Completely amazed someone would work that hard for us and be completely genuine about it. I meant up with my husband later where she still took over 2 hours helping us finalize our look. We finally made our decision. She was able to get us everything we wanted and still stay within our budget. The store was closing she never rushed us. She still offeres water, coffee ( which she made me) and cookies when most people would be ready to go. As we were finalizing our order with customer service May and other works helped wrap and box the items we were going to take home that night with a smile. Russell was our customer service rep the store was closed and he still walked us through our financial agreements and contracts with no rushing, frustration. He even had his ride home wait so he could finish with us and still gave us the best service until we were finished. I want to thank May for making this fun!! Would recommend them to everyone.
