After 12 miles of walking around Central Park and seemingly everywhere else Manhattan had to offer, I thought I would end my journey for the day. As I headed back to catch the train I saw a group of people playing volleyball. What a dream to be able to head to the pier and play a game with like-minded people. Ditching all plans to head in for the night, I headed in to watch the game. A step or two later, I realized I’d stumbled upon one of the most incredibly vibrant sunsets I’d witnessed in all my years walking around this planet. I watched until the night sky took over and even then the beauty of the city bouncing off the darkened sky astounded me. I often go back to this spot in my memory to relive the feeling of being in my favorite painting. Do not miss this spot on your journey through Manhattan.

This promenade is beautiful and well-kept, of course, but I was especially pleased to see an ADA-compliant picnic table installed. While I’d love to see more seating along the promenade, this a great start so good work, BPCA!

Very good views from here. You can even catch a glimpse of the Statue of Liberty, although it's too far away to get any decent looking pictures. It's also just a super nice area to have a stroll or even a jog.

This is a beautiful place to go on a walk, I highly recommend it towards the evening sunset because the sun is hitting you just right. You can see NJ, Statue of Liberty, and just enjoy the Hudson from here. It's really well maintained with lots of benches...
