After 12 miles of walking around Central Park and seemingly everywhere else Manhattan had to offer, I thought I would end my journey for the day. As I headed back to catch the train I saw a group of people playing volleyball. What a dream to be able to head to the pier and play a game with like-minded people. Ditching all plans to head in for the night, I headed in to watch the game. A step or two later, I realized I’d stumbled upon one of the most incredibly vibrant sunsets I’d witnessed in all my years walking around this planet. I watched until the night sky took over and even then the beauty of the city bouncing off the darkened sky astounded me.
