This is part of the INTREPID Sea, Space, and Air Museum, at New York Harbor. Since they want me to concentrate on the Space Shuttle Pavilion there, I won't go into the other things, other than to say: 1) you pay for the entire Museum so you'll see it all and 2) VETERANS: have proof you are a Vet. You get in FREE! That's fantastic, because the admission is not cheap. OK. Now to the space shuttle. The space shuttle ENTERPRISES is the "prototype" space shuttle, meaning that it was never on a space mission; it was used for testing. It was flown all over the place but never launched into space. Still, it allows you to get up close and personal with a shuttle, which is fantastic. It gives you an idea of the size of everything, being able to walk up to most of it and almost up to some of it. You'll learn how "Star Trek" fans started a grassroots movement to get the name of it changed to the ENTERPRISE! When I approached to buy a ticket, they paid no attention to me, barely gave me instructions, and at the end, the girl removed the virtual reality headset shortly before the video ended without any warning of what she was doing, which I think it was rude. She immediately went back to continue chatting with her colleagues. I also saw another staff member being rude to a girl sitting on the carpeted entrance.
This inappropriate behavior greatly impacted my experience as a visitor, at least to this section...
