I am a 20 something younger girl living in NY, which includes budget to which I from a Groupon for a lash lift at Evive salon. I wanted to know if the tint was included so I called before and was told they will do the tint included, took my name and asked for a time I would like to come in. I was excited for this experience but when I got to the salon, they told me the tint wasn’t included and looked down on me for having the Groupon (shouldn’t offer them if your going to act like is a disservice) The girl wanted to ask her manager to see what she could do. Her manager offered me 20% off the tint which I was grateful for and thought was a nice offer overlooking the fact I was told it was included prior. Still staying positive I went in for the lift and here’s where it goes wrong. The girl doing my lashes ended up frying my lashes so they're shriveled and curled in on one eye, ate food during my appointment and laughed with the girl at the front desk as soon as I walked away. On June 10th, I had a deep tissue massage and cupping done with May. The massage was very rough and rushed and she was very talkative during my visit. I also had cupping done at the end and that helped with reliving some of my back pain. Although, I used to come to this spa regularly when Angel was my masseuse because of how attentive & kind she was, however, since she is no longer employed at this spa I will not be a returning patron. I’ve been to Spring Soho Spa several times and the very first appointment was a horrible experience. When I arrived I was abruptly assigned to Cindy as my masseuse and similarly to my most recent visit with May, she was very gregarious during my massage session. Furthermore, during my facial she made a minute indentation in my forehead and was racist and combative towards the end of my visit regarding the amount of her tip. I had an extremely unpleasant experience with this massage, and I feel compelled to warn others. I asked for medium pressure, but the therapist applied such an intense, almost brutal amount of force that I was in serious pain the entire time. Despite asking multiple times for her to ease up, nothing changed. The session was supposed to be 50 minutes, but it was cut down to barely over 20 minutes because she started late and ended early. When I brought this up with the owner, I was only offered a discount for next time, which didn’t feel like real accountability. Worse still, the therapist cracked my back without my permission, which I believe is not only inappropriate but possibly illegal. I left the place bruised and incredibly sore, far worse off than when I walked in. There was also an uncomfortable amount of time spent massaging my glutes.
