I have never seen this beach in the sunlight. This is where we used to go to scream in the howling winds and swim against the raging sea. Here we would relentlessly battle to keep our fire alive so our drunken dances could be seen. I am unfamiliar with the sunset, but I can recall seeing moonlight shatter upon the waves and stars dive into the horizon. The sting of salt water against a million cuts from rough sand. The smell of cold sea spray mixed with dying cinders. The coast is a beautifully harsh and violent place and I'm happy to forever remember...

We only walked to the waters edge and turned to return to the car because of the weather... it's the Oregon coast... expect anything and dress appropriately!
