The adventure park, if you wear glasses it is safe to wear them in every course and ride. If you like a workout, this is for you. If you're looking for something to do once and be good, this is for you. Bring your Powerade, Body Armour, water, bananas or any food high in potassium and protein because if you're not in shape or ok shape the rope course is going to help you find out what needs worked out. Not for those who are afraid of heights. Many backed out due to fatigue and fear. You may bring your own food and snacks and drinks (not alcoholic) inside the adventure park you may also take photos and video tape for they do not offer that option. Pass the ticket office, follow the arrows to the stairs. Go to top of stairs straight ahead to receive your gear. You will be wearing zipline gear. They do have a log roll that you can do in the adventure park and for that you have to wear water shoes or shoes you don't care about getting wet that are closed toed. You can go back and forth to your vehicle. They only allow close-toed shoes in the adventure park. Definitely where a good flexible closed-toe sneaker for the rope climbs your feet will love you for it because when you try to walk a cable wire in water shoes it's not exactly comfortable. They have you go in one direction mind you the park attendants don't pay attention that much. However, The rules are you are to start at the rope course make your way to the log roll or the ax throw which cost $5 each throw then after the log roll there is a log climb that's kind of like a rock wall version and then they have the 80 ft tower that you have to walk up which is exactly 88 stairs where you can bungee jump down fast or slow and ride the hang glider. Now When we were there they were short on staff and they have one guy working the climbing log and the log roll so he seemed like a nice guy but we were told by a few park attendants that he may not allow you to go back and forth because technically you're supposed to go one direction and not backtrack because of Covid. They are asking that you only do the hang glide and the bungee jump two times a piece but if they're not super busy they don't tend to fuss about it. The rope course is one of the most interesting ones that we've ever been on It is not the same stuff repetitively it involves ropes cable line logs and more. they have you start on the first level with all the safety nets to help you get the feel of what's above you which there is zero safety nets and you are tied like a zip line and that's your safety line but whatever you do do not pull on the black cord or you're not going to have a safety line anymore. It's off and on challenging. this is where you're going to need your water shoes or they will provide some to you if you don't mind wearing theirs free of charge or just wear your clothes toes shoes that you don't care about getting wet. Log roll offers a single log roll where you alone run on the log and you are tethered off or even more fun when my hubby and I did We challenged one another to a duel on the log roll and we both equally won and it is very challenging. The tether line has a lot of slack so a lot of the time you're swinging around which is not good for the men heads up can cause front wedgies. And is why the men are even more determined to stay on the log. Women however can sit back and swing around and be a wrecking ball knocking them in off, haha. The hang glider, fun, long wait at times. We rode down with our arms out. You either want to lean forward or back because the straps will hit your helmet and be annoying because the ride isn't long enough to fuss with equipment. Bungee jump, well. We've never done it and we're never going to do it, but this young guy was terrified and was being made fun of by his family. He said if I could just see someone do it, so I took the 80 Ft plunge, thankfully he followed. Now, don't jump ouch, just step out. If you do the fast you fall fast then jerk to a slower descent. I didn't realize I was on the fast, but I did it and survived. One...
Read moreGreat place. We stopped at the red wing boot store and got some red wing boot oil. I really didnt know what i was looking for or really know what i needed. I used saddle soap on my red wing boots and it stripped everything even the oils off them. I walked into the red wing boot store and talked to a really tall guy and he was knowledgeable about the red wing boots. He told me i should of not used the saddle soap on my peco red wing boots that i should of just washed them and reconditioned them. I purchased a bottle of there red wing boot oil he assured me that the oil would bring the color back into my boots and re-store them like new. I am posting a pic of the boots after i used saddle soap and a pic of them after i have applied only 1 coat of reconditioning oil. The gentleman in the store advised me to just put a little bit of oil on my finger and work the oil in slowly and spread it out. If not you will havea lot of dark spots. I applied 1 coat of the oil on and they are already looking a lot better. I am letting the boots sit and soak the oil in and them im gonna apply another coat of oil. I have posting t bg e before and after 1 coat pics below check bbn it out and if possible let me know what you think. Im not finished with them yet.

Read moreStopped here to eat at Calhouns and let me tell you... it was definitely worth it. The baby back ribs were amazing, along with the onion rings. Our kids had everything from the child salad, grilled cheese, chicken tenders, cheeseburger and the kickin cheeseburger. They all had good things to say about the food. My wife had the BBQ Pork plate, which she enjoyed very much. I had a draft beer and my wife had the red sangria, and both of our beverages had us feeling some sort of way, lol. Don't worry; we only had the one and were not too intoxicated to drive. Our kids had the "Shirley Temple," which was sprite with cherry grenadine and they loved it. So if you are wanting a good place to eat, anything from burgers and steaks to ribs and salads then I suggest you stop here before you leave town or while you're staying around here. We will...
