I visited East Massage last Friday, which was my second time getting a massage there. I asked for a gentle/soft massage but there were a few times when the message therapist made it pretty painful, I let her know. After the massage, I was given my receipt to sign and leave a tip. As I was writing my tip, the therapist closely looked at what I was writing and told me “20% will be OK” as she saw me put $15 (which is almost 15% of $110 massage). She was basically telling me to cross out what I wrote and give her 20% instead. I was taken aback by this insolence and wrote $22. I should have given $0. It’s up to the customer to decide on the tip amount, and looking at the receipt the customer is signing and insisting on something else means poor customer service. I...

They currently have great availability and it's hard to find a good massage place around here that doesn't cost an arm and a leg but also not one so cheap that you can tell they are just going through the same motions that they learned one time and that's the one technique, you know?
The massage I got I could tell that they focused on the tight spots around my scapula and shoulder muscles that had the most tension and loosened it enough so that I didn't have to suffer with the constant ache.
