This is my first bad review in my whole life. I always try to leave positive reviews. Read attentively: I was a member at the Salt Lake City EOS location for over six months and really enjoyed the gym itself. However, the customer service and billing practices were incredibly disappointing. My friends and I were on a family plan and had been successfully charged on three separate credit cards, something the staff had no issue with for months. Suddenly, we were told that all charges now had to go to a single card (mine), without warning or explanation, saying "this is against our policy" and not even showing the policy it to us. When my friend tried to rejoin after a brief cancellation, they refused to let us continue the previous arrangement and offered no solution. I was also overcharged for personal training for two months, despite cancelling it. I spoke with a manager named Shawn who said he’d fix it and follow up but I never heard back. The issue was ignored completely. The local staff management are dismissive and unhelpful, pushing the problem back onto me rather than working toward a resolution. Especially Trevor Reynolds was no help. I ended up canceling my membership because I couldn’t get clear communication or accountability from anyone. I’ve reached out to corporate and the district manager, but the lack of follow-up and transparency has made it clear that customer support is not a priority at EOS. I’d consider returning only if EOS improves its policies, reimburses me for the overcharge, as well as training it's staff to handle issues with respect and follow-through. Look at the random extra charges. What even are these!!

4th update now that is getting warm outside… And now when it’s warm they keep it at a balmy/uncomfortable 76+ and I’d imagine it’s going to get even hotter as the season warms up. Unbelievable how terrible the climate control in this facility is. 3rd update a couple weeks later: At this point I think they’re just Trolling us all… 62 degrees today… WTF! *second update* (a week later) Nope… it’s just luck of the draw on the day. Some days the fans are off and it’s a nice 70. But more often the fans are on and it’s 66 🥶…. Please just keep it at 70 like every other gym….. *UPDATE* Not sure if this review was seen but for the past two evenings the fans have been off and it’s been much better! Will wait for a bit longer to see if the change is staying before increasing stars. Started coming to this location recently. Equipment is great. Staff is decent. Crazy busy as other people mentioned but that’s what you get for being in SLC. BUT HOLY COW!! 1 star because they won’t turn down the fans in the main workout area during the winter!! It’s freezing! Everyone is wearing jackets not because they just want a pump cover but because it’s so uncomfortable! It’s a gym. They keep the temp at 70 which would be perfect (SCRATCH THAT!!! I just saw they dropped it to 66?!?) but then they have the fans blowing full blast and it’s probably sitting at like 60 if you’re trying to use any equipment around them. (Which is the majority of the main area because of 2 huge ceiling fans) Already talked with the staff and they said they can’t change it… Please turn them down and the temp up to 70 and this will go immediately to 5 stars.

Visited the downtown SLC EOS and had mixed feelings. The gym is located in the quirky Trolley Corners building, which gives it a unique layout. Walking up the stairs to the entrance, I joked that maybe it’d be as nice as the Allen Parkway Houston location—the stairs gave off a asimilar vibe. The gym itself spans three floors. The main level includes machines, locker rooms, a sauna, and what they call "The Tank." During our visit, one of the cryolounges was down and two of the massage guns were out of service, though they did have plenty of Lympha Legs. A bit of a letdown, especially if recovery tools are part of your visit. The basement floor is dedicated to cardio (so we skipped that 😄), and the sub-basement floor has free weights and cables. Unfortunately, every level feels a bit cramped. We went around 11am, and it was packed, definitely not the ideal time if you want space to move. That said, the gym was clean, the staff were chill, the music wasn’t blasting (thankfully), and very few machines were down for repair, which is always a plus. Overall, not a bad EOS, but definitely not the best layout or flow if you're used to more spacious locations.

Don’t know how but my first review was taken down so I’m posting it again.

Been using EōS for about 2 years and it wasn’t bad especially for the price, but this location is different.

The good! Employees are great, mostly young, helpful and nice. You will often see them walking around to check on different areas, picking up trash, cleaning, or showing new members around. They always greet you and there are some, not from this location, that have become friends. It is generally very clean for a gym. Not only do the employees cleaning periodically but most members wipe down equipment once they are done. Almost all members are nice. Some gyms with a younger age range have a sect of mean muggers/ people who get pissed for no reason but almost everyone here has been respectful and politely. They asks when you’ll be done, will not be obnoxious and are good about sharing.

The bad:( Packed to the gills. Pictures do no justice. The only time I’ve came and seen available bench’s was at 4am and then by 5am right back to normal. You will not be able to do a full workout in 45-90 minutes. Every machine is taken, benches/ racks/ cables will have lines behind them so you’ll wait 15+ to get to a spot. 3pm-9pm is the worst. But don’t worry they will keep adding members because why not! Bathrooms. 1 spot to drop brown is wild, if you have to #2 good luck buddy. Once you get there it smells like the last 8 guys who where holding it for 30 minutes like you where and your greeted by a warm seat. Even to pee you have to walk into this humid cloud of protein farts that’s just terrible because the pissers are in the same room as the one toilet. All this is taking into account that you can get past the 30 people in the narrow hallways. Parking is horrible. It was bad but they recently blocked off the lower level ramps to put in 4 new parking spots. I had to watch 6 people do 9 point turns because of how packed it is. Usually the top level has a spot or 2 when it’s packed, not always so get ready to deal with dodging people walking back to there cars and people going the wrong way on the ramps. I’ve now seen 4 cars get hit in there as well, 2 where hit and runs. How crowded it is. It has to be said again, it’s so bad. I’ve been going to the gym for 11 year and I’ve never seen anything like this. Today was my last because as I walked in, I see every treadmill taken, walk past the sales area where they are signing on 6 new people, somehow get down the stairs and wouldn’t you know it I couldn’t even get to the dumbbells because of the hordes of people. I don’t know what the max occupancy of this building is but it has to be double what it’s rated for. The fact that the manager or higher ups allow this to go on is insane, it’s a lawsuit waiting to happen. It feels like you are just rebreathing peoples breath, you want a place to stand and do curls? No, not even room for that. God forbid if there was a fire or earthquake in this hole, good luck, game over, its already hard enough to get to the stair much less up them! But don’t worry more people are signing up by there pushy salesmen Brahxtohn who literally won’t let you go with the cheapest option because he makes the conversation so weird you sign it because it feels like an episode of Nathan for you.

I can’t stand this place, I think the manager is Ethan, and I don’t know if it’s him who is to blame or above his head but by far the worst gym I’ve been to. Waited a little bit of time to post a review because I thought it would get better, and in there defense they took care of the climate issues, but this place almost unusable and dangerous. The bathroom smell like a humid honey bucket but has less space than one and you’ll get a good dose of road rage trying to park. Go to any vasa or the...

I signed up way before this location was open because I was excited about somewhere close by. Now I DON'T RECOMMNEND anyone getting a membership with EOS Fitness. My experience has been extremely stressful and costly, and I've never even stepped inside the gym. Before the gym opened I kept getting emails and texts saying I needed to go in and verify things and set up the app. I went in on Black Friday and then they sat me down and tried to sell me on a personal trainer. I said I couldn't afford it and the guy just stared at me. I felt extremely pressured and he kept saying this is a great deal and that I should sign up. I felt so uncomfortable that I did. When I tried to cancel it a few days later through the email provided on the contract I kept getting the run around. The gym wasn't even open and they charged my credit card for that months personal training fee! So I called in and said I can't afford it and they said a manager would call me. Surprise, surprise a manager didn't call. I called the next day and spoke with a manager and he said he would cancel it and refund me. Then in January they charged me again!!! A week later I saw a refund for one of the charges but not both. By this point I was reading the other reviews about it being too crowded and I just wanted to cancel my membership. So I went in and talked to a guy at the front desk and said that I wanted to cancel my membership. He ASSURED me the request would go through and I would only have to pay the last payment of $21.55. I triple checked with him that my membership would be canceled and he said yes. I logged in today after the payment went through and my membership said it was still active!! I called and the lady on the phone said the request to cancel my membership never went through! I've paid $278.00 AND I'VE NEVER EVEN STEPPED FOOT IN THE GYM TO WORKOUT! DONT SIGN UP FOR A CONTRACT WITH THEM. Their business model tries to squeeze as much money from you as they can. I just want my membership canceled.

UPDATE* 03/13/24 I received a call today from a district sales manager. He was very kind and listened to my situation. I told him my cancellation was still pending, and my frustration about that. He was able to push my cancellation through immediately and he offered me a refund for the personal training fee that never got refunded, and for last month's payment. I am very grateful for the fact he reached out and that my situation has...

Really disappointed with my experience with this gym. I signed up for the Black Card membership before they opened and also locked in the cheaper price for the one on one personal training. I specified when signing up that I would be starting school in January and I would not be able to afford or start training until March or April and they assured me that would be fine (not mentioning that I would be charged at the beginning of January for the training no matter what).

After signing up, I immediately began getting calls asking when I would like to schedule my training and I relayed AGAIN over call and text that I would not be able to start training until later in the year. I also mentioned over text that I'm chronically in pain and would need to work with a specific trainer and they said they had no one their with the qualifications to help with that. At this point I'm feeling very frustrated and like no one is listening to me, none of the employees are taking proper notes, and no one working at the gym communicates to each other.

Then comes January and they charge me twice for these personal training sessions that I never scheduled or went to.I called and asked about the charges and I needed to relay AGAIN that I asked for the training to begin later in the year. Feeling very frustrated I went in person to ask to cancel my membership, personal training sessions, and be refunded for the sessions they already charge me for. At this point I am extremely frustrated and am contacted by Moroni, one of the managers, and he tries to listen to my concerns and notifies me that they cannot do a refund for the charges and that there will be a cancellation fee if I try to cancel my membership. He tries to work with me and requests I get a note from my Doctor, because that will make it more valid for why I want to push the training (because of the chronic pain). I obtain the letter, send it to him, and have heard nothing back since.

In conclusion, this is a money hungry gym that will over charge you every chance you get. There are several fees to even sign up. And if you do purchase the training they will not work with you in any way shape or form to make it convenient for you. I have never felt so belittled by a company that I was originally so excited to use.

P.S. the gym is also tiny and always packed so I would recommend you save some money and buy equipment for...
