6-19-2024 - Update Visited again for pre dinner drinks, and ordered Mahammara with the drinks. It was very salty. After a few bites, I could not eat it. The drinks were still good.

6-15-2023 Overall - 5/5 Drinks - 5/5 Food - 5/5 Service - 5/5 Ambiance - 5/5

This was on my list of neighborhood places to try for a long time. So glad I finally made it here. We stopped here for pre dinner drinks/munchies. Lately we have started visiting multiple bars/restaurants in one evening. Appetizers at the first place and dinner at the next. Maximum has been 3 so far… with drinks & appetizers at each. There are too many places to try in SF and not enough time :)

They had a great selection of international wines. Everything we tried was good. The food selection was varied. Lots of options to choose from…

CRISPY POTATOES. Fried to perfection. Crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Tossed with their selection of spices. Served with a cool sauce. GRILLED HALLOUMI - Thin slices of Halloumi, served with truffled honey, aleppo and warm pita. BROCCOLINI - Yummy. Grilled to perfection.

The service was attentive but not over bearing. Will definitely be back. Lots of great appetizers still left to try out.

So the goat might be roaming but the chef it seems was running after the goat instead of watching over his or her dishes. That was disappointing to say the least and way overpriced for the quality of the dishes. The humus , how can you in SF with so much competition serve up flavorless humus with stale pita bread... The brussel sprouts a bit under cooked, I like a crunch in my brussel sprouts but they were simply undercooked. The potato wedges, mushy and so soft they could be the perfect food for folks without teeth. The sausage, well let's call it think sliced cold cut , underwhelming. The best part of that dish was the pickled pepper. The octopus nice in presentation but again the texture of the octopus was not there, serving chevy octopus is just not the way we should celebrate this smart animal. The meatballs, undercooked lacked texture and flavor and don't serve meatballs with stale pita bread .

On the plus side the food presentation is nice and their wine selection extensive but the food is a culinary joke and an insult to your wallet for what you get.

I suggest go catch your goat and start focusing...

Before writing this review, I read the one star reviews and to majority of those reviews I have to say “ you are out your minds!”. My Brother and I arrived late Saturday night and decided to do a proper sampling. We are both well versed in Mediterranean cuisine and loved every dish. The Halloumi is FANTASTIC ( my wife is Cypriot and I have had many variations but, this one is Supreme). The Lamb Kebab was spiced such that each bite was a celebration, Angus Filet melted in our mouths, potato wedges were delicious by them selves but, the dip took them to next level, the Yogurt dip and Hummus did not disappoint especially with the generous and well made pita wedges that accompanied them. We capped the night with scoops of Blood Orange Sorbet and Pistachio Ice Cream. DELICIOUS. Had very nice conversation with Brandon the General Manager and appreciated him moving us to larger table to accommodate our many plates. Our server was very friendly and prompt and very helpful with wine pairing. I am from Washington DC and this place will be on my list of revisit when I...
