The Savannah Children’s museum was great, however, we did have a very unpleasant experience with one of your employees. I do not know this woman’s name but we visited on Monday, June 16 and we think she might have been a Manager because we did overhear her telling one of the other employees that they could take their break but I am not sure if that means she was the Manager or not. Well, this lady was not kind to my daughter & it really upset my husband and I. My adorable 3 year old daughter wanted to water the plants & this employee put the smallest amount of water in her water bucket (literally drops) and after she watered one plant my daughter politely asked for more water & this employee refused to refill her container & said “we have to save water for the other kids” when there was not a single other child around wanting to water the plants! She is only 3 years old & is still developing her communication skills, it was very upsetting to see her turned away for such a ridiculous reason when she was enjoying herself. We paid to be there & weren’t even allowed to have some tap water to participate in one of the main activities in the garden? My husband and I did not complain or say anything at the time but it was really disappointing that my sweet baby was treated so poorly by your staff. You really should hire people who are kinder & treat your...
Read moreI think this has the potential to be a great place if more care is put into it. Im from out of state, I didn’t expect it to be fully outdoors but that wasn’t a big deal. But the cleanliness and condition of the toys/activity stuff wasn’t good at all. The giant foam blocks are covered in dirt and seemed to miss a lot of components to actually build structures. We were the first ones who entered the museum at 930 and it looks like they leave everything outside and don’t clean it up. I say that because things were sprawled out, the water in the water table had a lot of dirt In it and the toy foods/items by the pretend play restaurant kitchen area was knocked all over the floor and spread throughout the area. And we were the first ones in so it was obviously left from the day prior. In the train classroom the legos and magnetic tiles were absolutely filthy with dirt. Way overpriced and if anything you shouldn’t charge the parents for supervising their kids when there aren’t even many places for them to sit down. This would have a lot of potential if they actually took the time to care for the stuff they have. Cleaning and organizing the activity goes miles so I don’t understand why they don’t bother. The staff though were super nice and sweet...
Read moreThis review is for a weekday visit with a 6 and 3yo boys.
Overall had a great time at this very original concept for kids to play and engage in learning and fun activities.
Place is easy to find and has a big, free parking lot.
I think the pricing is fair and reasonable and a good value for the money. I paid $10 per person including myself the supervising adult.
The Children’s Museum is all outside and so plan with the weather and check if they are open before you go.
I thought the place is very safe and well payed out with variety or things to do that my boys enjoyed a lot. Some of the highlights for us were the giant building blocks, sand kitchen, story time and the garden lesson about oranges and tangerines.
We spend about 4 hours there bouncing from one area to next, entertained constantly.
We had packed a lunch to eat- there is an area to sit and eat as well as few benches through the park.
I want to say the park was not busy on a week day and while there were plenty of kids we didn’t have to wait to use any of the amenities.
There are bathrooms right by...
