May 30, 2025. AMAZING show by Lauren Daigle but terrible experience at johnny mercer theater! An employee (told us her name was allison idk if thats her name or not but she had rose tinted glasses dressed in all black with a walkie talkie on her shoulder) told me to sit down bc the people behind me had complained that I was standing. I was only standing bc the woman in front of me was blocking my view. She was having fun so i didnt mind it. When i respectfully sat down the people behind me laughed n clapped. On top of it all i now couldnt see bc of the woman in front of me. (I have photo & video proof of my view being blocked) It was embarrassing & discriminatory. So my mother went to speak with the employee that told me to sit because she did not ask the woman to sit in front of me & the employee told her “we cant tell ppl to sit.” Then why did she tell me? She then argued with my mother who has MS & was already stressed by this situation that was happening mid show. She even told us if we wanted to stand we had to stand in the isles.. thats a fire hazard. So my mom ask to speak to a superior & the employee says “i am the boss theres no one higher then me u will be speaking to me” then she threatened to have my mom removed for questioning her. While all this was happening other people were complaining about other people standing. So im not sure what the issue was but we come to a concert to have fun & that includes standing/dancing. Lauren daigle herself told people to get up & dance. That employee completely ruined our time & caused my mom to miss half the show it was the worst concert experience I have ever had & could have caused my mom some serious health issues...
Read moreThe absolute WORST experience I have ever had at a venue. I was singled out in a very disrespectful manner over having a brand new vape on me and that I had to throw it out before entering, but instead of explaining it to me in a nice way and giving me options on what I could do I got major attitude and treated SO disrespectful. She treated me like a child. I am 40 years old. She just kept saying “where’s the vape, give me the vape, give it to me, give it to me.” And she almost didn’t let me in cus I didn’t hand it over immediately, because I was trying to figure out what I could do. If I was gonna walk back to the car or not. But my car was so far and I didn’t want to miss the show. My vape was brand new! I had just bought it. Plus I was with two of my friends, so I was trying to see if maybe we could check it in with a bag or whatever. This woman would not get off my back. The rudest middle aged woman I have ever met. She was short, had tight dreads and wore glasses. Hair was half way up. And was standing out front in front of the metal detectors on the far right. If you are gonna make people throw out their cigs, lighters and vapes maybe you should list it on your website and/or Ticketmaster or wherever you buy your tickets, because I checked the rules the day prior and it is not mentioned anywhere. I saw the bag policy and that was it. Also don’t hire people who don’t know how to talk with respect to customers. Avoid this venue at all cost! Worst customer experience and security I have ever dealt with. I will definitely never come back here. Comedian Matt Matthew’s was...
Read moreI’m highly disappointed with the assistance I was just given. I simply called to ask about a refund for an event. The box office manager, unsure of their name but they made sure to let me know their title twice, was INCREDIBLY ARGUMENTATIVE AND RUDE. Before I was able to complete my sentence of stating that I’ve been calling them all day trying to get in touch with them regarding tickets, they raise their voice at me and stated, “I have been here since 9am. Absolutely no way you have been calling all day!” I politely told them that I can send them screenshots of my attempts if they’d like to see for themselves. After that conversation, I verbalized the issue regarding my tickets. Again, before I can complete my sentence, they cut me off and told me, “oh there’s nothing I can do about that!” I asked to speak to someone else, and they told me there is no one else to speak to as they are the box office manager.
I’m already disappointed enough as is that we are unable to attend an event. There was no need in raising voices towards me, carrying a sharp tone, and not giving no assistance whatsoever. I will never purchase tickets to a show or event again if it is hosted at the Savannah Civic Center/Johnny...
