Barlow Adventures — Attraction in Sedona

Highly recommend attending the 4WD fundamentals course with Barlow Jeeps. They are so much more than a rental company! Teachers Nena, Mandy, and Paul are a wealth of knowledge on ALL types of 4WD vehicles and are a pleasure to learn from. We enjoyed everyone's teaching style. The course had great pacing. The group would drive out to a beautiful off-road area and then have 30-45 min breakout teaching sessions. Barlow had a wonderful choice of trails. I was concerned that it would be hard to find an area "out of the way" enough given how popular Moab is, but we had enough space to practice without hindering other groups or feeling rushed. The course covered important recovery techniques (eg tire changing, high-jack safety, kinetic tow rope use), driving techniques on various terrain (slickrock vs soft sand), and features of all of the vehicles present (Jeeps, Toyotas, Fords). I look forward to future trainings and trips with Barlow Jeeps. Barlow has a wonderfully organized course that is safe and informative for novice off-road drivers and their vehicles. My dad and I had a great time with a rental Jeep from Barlow earlier this month. Jeep was in great shape and very capable. Reservations and check out were easy. Location is convenient. The staff was helpful when we picked up the Jeep. However, the staff did a 180 when we returned the Jeep. We are getting blamed for damage that we did not cause. It seems to me like the staff is trying to clean up the Jeep at the end of the season on our dime. Staff was very rude over the phone during a follow up conversation last week. At this point, I would love to speak with the owner of the business. But I have been told that she will not speak with me regarding these issues. This is unprofessional given the amount of damages Barlow is seeking to recover from us. I will never rent here again. Their return and damages policies are unfair...

Wow, what an incredible experience! My wife and I rented a modified Jeep Rubicon in order to do off-road 4x4 trails in Moab for 3 days. Not only was the Jeep in spectacular condition, but the staff was incredibly helpful from beginning to end of our three day adventure. The manager, Graham, and his assistant, Missy, first spent over an hour showing us the trails, highlights to see, and how to use the special modifications of their Jeeps. Then we would stop in each morning to review the trails planned for the day and they were always accommodating. We felt that their vehicles were very reasonably priced when you consider all the time they spent with us and the fantastic quality of the Jeeps.
