We stayed at the Arroyo Pinion for two nights for a weekend stay in Sedona. The property is quiet, and not super big. It’s tucked back a bit from the main road, and I do not think they have any rooms with Mountain views, which was disappointing. Staff were very nice when we arrived. |Our room was on the first floor. It was clean and comfortable when we arrived. However, the room was a bit dated and I didn’t love the set up. The huge bath tub in the main room was odd. Shower is older with a shower curtain, no doors. The room itself was very dark during the day. Even with the curtains open. We had a “patio” out the back door that was a table with two chairs and a yucky view of nothing. It’s a personal preference for me, but I like bright rooms with big windows so the sun can come in during the day. This room was not bright, at all. Another issue we had being on the first floor was the people above us. It was like when I sleep in my sister‘s basement guest room! The floors squeaked and creaked when the people above us would walk around. They also must have drawn a bath both nights we were there around 10 or 1030, which was really loud in our room. You could hear them getting up in the night to use the restroom!|If you stay here, I would request a second story room, or ask to book a first floor room that has no one staying above you. Pool area was nice and clean. They had a fire pit going both nights we were there. They also offer a free breakfast in the morning.|It was clean, and comfortable, but a bit loud being on the first floor and it does not...
Read moreI would describe this as more of a motel than a hotel. However, the rooms were clean and nice enough. The sounds definitely came through from outside or adjacent rooms, so if noise bothers you at all it'll be an issue. Overall it wasn't that big of a deal for me, but we did have one guest that kept going out tot their car and then locking it by pressing the remote key twice and it honking every time. So that became annoying. But what can you do?! It is also across the street from the police station, and there must have been some excitement in the middle of the night, as they all took off sirens blaring around 3 am! LOL. So probably very safe with the police station in the neighborhood but also potentially very noisy too. Pros and cons to consider. The staff was very friendly and excellent!! The front desk guy told us all kinds of stuff about the area and some terrific things to go do. They had a breakfast bar in the morning with the usual hotel breakfast offerings these days. The beds seemed very comfortable, but my back was killing me the next morning, so apparently not the firmness level that my body prefers. There was a heated outdoor pool (no hot tub though) and a lovely fire pit and sitting area around the fire pit. It was a bit cold that evening, so we didn't go for a swim, otherwise we would have and it seemed like it would have been rather enjoyable under normal and warmer temps. I'm sure in the water would have been fine, but getting out and the walk back to the room outside would have been extremely cold...
Read morePremium room with "one" person jetted tub, microwave, refrigerator, king size bed, A/C and fireplace. Patio with two chairs and a bistro table. Nice linens on the bed, towels fluffy and enough a couple. I had a towel that I could dry my hair! Water and pretzels in the room upon check-in. These are/were not restocked each day of stay. Dispensers with soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, body wash. Iron and ironing board. Price reasonable for room reserved. Choice Hotel confirmation not accurate for room amenity description. The front desk staff stated it would be corrected and discounted the room 10% for the error on check out. The hotel located in West Sedona, 5 minute drive to Uptown Sedona. Parking ample, no extra parking when they are booked! Good washer and a dryer - $1 to use each and soap is at the front desk for purchase. Used it to do our laundry. Breakfast good - scrambled eggs, waffle maker, sausage patties, potatoes, bread choices, bagels, mini muffins, cereal, fruit, yogurt, juices, coffee, milk. Not fresh cooked breakfast like at a restaurant or cafe - more along the lines of a fast food breakfast (McDonalds is the best I can compare it to). Breakfast hostess and hosts worked to keep it stocked. Breakfast is busy. When busy, an extra room that people can move to for more space - breakfast starts 7am. Staff gave us good tips to make the most of our visit to the "attractions" around Sedona. I wish them success in the new management. I would...
