Stayed in a 2 queen bed suite with patio which was a good size room with a fireplace. It was nice having a patio with a view but the noise from the road/intersection made sitting on the patio or even having the door open way too noisy to be relaxing. When we arrived in our room, it was minimally stocked with only 1 bar of soap for 2 sinks and a shower, only 2 cups and no shower curtain when reservation was made for 3 people and we were told at check in about the resort fee and extra charge for extra people.
Breakfast options were good but annoying breakfast attendant who preferred talking to all guests at lengths, instead of keeping breakfast items stocked and trash can emptied (versus overflowing), severely distracted from having a peaceful breakfast. I even got up and decided to get a coffee refill while she continued to talk to my dad at the table and she turned to me and said "where are you going". Wow! I didn't realize that I answered to the breakfast attendant. Prior to that she brought over a map, opened it, pushed our breakfast plates aside so she could lay the map on the table and then proceeded to ask us where we wanted to go. Being a travel agent myself, we certainly didn't need her assistance, especially since it was unsolicited.
Hot tub was very nice!!! It was cean, kept at a perfect temperature and there were plenty of clean towels in the pool area.
Coffee near front desk was found empty (only dispensing hot water) or without cups two separate times between hours of 830-1030 am.
When we checked in, we were told they were short of keys so I could come back the next day to get more. When I returned to the front desk the next morning, I asked for an extra key and was only asked for my room number before another key was quickly made for me. I was surprised that I wasn't asked for my name, identification or anything. I could have easily gotten a key for anyone's room. About 30 minutes prior to that, my dad had gone to the front desk to ask for another key and the lady gave him one too and his name wasn't even on the reservation.
Overall the property is nice but I expected a better experience at a hotel in this price range in a resort area. It would have been nice to have been told about the resort fee and extra person charge when I made the reservation being that I called the property to make the reservation to assure a first floor room due to traveling with my handicapped mother since she would not be able to manage the stairs up to the 2nd floor being that the property does not...
Read moreWe recently booked a weekend trip to Sedona with our two pups. It was a couples trip 3 nights, with our 2 frenchies. We had alternate accommodations with another property the first two nights. The property we booked with was dirty, had no accommodations for our pets and offered a decent rate to work from the property online boasting about WiFi and work from here. We had issues with the WIFi from check in. It continued through our stay until finally we reached out to Sedona Real Inn a neighboring property.
I looked into Sedona Real and learned they too had internet, the property was Very Clean, they offered a dog park for the boys and a very reasonable pet rate a one time fee instead of per night per pet rate like our original property.
I called and spoke to Jaime, she was able to salvage our trip by getting us into a corner King Suite, we had ZERO issues with the WiFi. They offered treats to my boys @ checkin. They provided us with a key to the dog park before our room was even ready. The pool and hot tub area were clean and had separate restroom and shower accommodations so you do not have to trek through the lobby or your room wet.
We woke up the next day and headed over for breakfast, we were pleased to see our pups Lincoln and Jackson were on the welcome board in the lobby for the furry visitors on site. The included breakfast was a variety of fresh cooked eggs, sausage and waffle bar for the day we stayed. There were also fruit and cereal options, juice and coffee. The menu does change and it’s so much more than a cup of yogurt or prepackaged muffin offered by the previous property.
The lobby had some gifts for purchase as well as some last minute need items and snacks where you can purchase or charge to the room. All in all we will 100% stay here the next time we are in town. It’s clean, the staff is beyond friendly. The entire property seemed very pet friendly. The dog park includes picnic tables and a barbecue as well as a sitting area with a fire pit to relax and enjoy a glass of wine or a cup of cocoa on a chilly night. We recommend this property to anyone that loves their pups to enjoy trips with them, clean and updated accommodations (our room had a king bed and queen pull out with a fireplace) the pet rate was very fair and considering the pet accommodations well...
Read moreMy fiancé and I made reservations here for our visit to Sedona. While not described as a resort, the photos and good reviews made it seem like this was an ideal place to vacation with a pool and activities. While it was not a horrible place - if you're just looking for a place to lay your head it may be fine - the experience caused us to check out the first night and secure a room at another hotel for the rest of our stay.
The positives - it is close to a lot of stores and restaurants. The staff was friendly. The pool was small but looked clean. Quiet not a lot of activity or guests. Rooms were large.
The negatives - So, when we pulled up, we were a bit surprised. It was more like a motel with exterior doors and no elevators to the second floor where our room was. We settled into our room (the place is pet friendly and my fiance has allergies so they indicated the 2nd floor rooms were not used for people with pets). .The room looked clean and large. Later as we settled into the bed after a long trip to get there we noticed a horrible...I mean horrible... smell coming from the floor behind the head of the bed. I had never smelled anything like it. My fiance said it smelled like something had died. It was so bad I almost gagged.
We called the front desk and they came checked the smell and moved us to a first floor room (remember the first level is where people can bring their pets). We had to repack everything and carry everything down the steps to the first floor. My fiance thought the new room was clean enough at first despite it being a pet friendly room. Although, because it was a pet friendly room, there was only tile flooring making it less cozy but we planned to stay. Later, my fiancés allergies got so bad in the room, we had to leave. It was unbearable.
The staff was friendly and responsive but they didn't seemed too stressed on figuring out that horrible smell near the bed in the first room or the fact they moved us to a pet friendly room despite my fiancés allergies.
Fortunately, we were able to get a refund (mostly) for the rest of the week and we were able to find a new hotel (much nicer) at the...
