While Dan, and Karolyn were super friendly, and professionally, it took Outback ATV 6 days for Outback ATV to refund the 3000.00 they instantaneously took as a deposit for incidental’s damage. i’m not sure who can afford $3000 of their money being put on hold. I have never had any other company do this. I have probably rented ATVs 3 or 4 times across the United States in other hiking regions. Apparently, this is a Sedona Arizona policy Apparently, they should have done the $3000 on a credit card rather than a debit card. My only criticism was Karolyn talked at you, rather than to you. She has probably given the same 15 minute introductory speech a million times. She should ask what type of ATV experience the customer was looking for! We would have never gone on the diamondback trail! It took us over an hour to do the trail. The trail is full of huge rocks. We were only able to go 0-5 MPH while getting jarred around the entire time. Plus there was a particular hill had I not been an experience ATV driver a lesser driver would’ve gotten stuck.. the diamondback trail was uncomfortable and unenjoyable!!! Additionally, the provided map should have included the details of the trails. and the expected sights of each trail.
I recommend you DO NOT use the green Kawasaki’s. They are so loud you cannot hear yourself think! Within minutes of driving, we had to return to get a quieter ATV.

Read moreMy boyfriend and I called morning of to make reservations. The process was super simple and the person helping us on the phone was very patient. The location is easy to find, there’s good parking, and there restrooms before you go on the trails. The person assisting us at the counter was so nice, gave us very clear directions on how to get to the trail head. We also got a map and a GPS tablet, so you don’t need your phone. There’s a 3000 dollar deposit that will come back instantly on credit or in a few days on debit. You have the opportunity to get tire insurance which she said would be recommended if you’re going out the whole day, but we only went out for 2 hours. You have to drive on the highway for about 15-20 mins before you get to the trails, but then everything is pretty easy to navigate. There’s not a ton of signs, but there’s enough, and the gps and map were helpful for us. They also provided a cooler with ice water. The trail we went on was so beautiful. I would 100000% recommend riding ATVs through Sedona. They also provided blankets for us which was nice to sit on/cover my lap since it was chilly. My only minor complaint is that they charge a $60 dollar fee if you come back with the ATV muddy, BUT there is a place to wash it off right across the street for 3 dollars. Read moreOn my honeymoon, my wife and I tried to rent a vehicle for two hours because it was already 1:30 and the store closed at 5:30 and would not allow a 4 hour rental. The 2 hour rental was about $50 less than the 4 hour rental so it was still nearly $500 and was ready to bag the whole thing but the manager pushed the owner to give us a third hour so we could do two trails.
About 10 minutes after heading out we returned to the shop, it was a downpour which is fine, they can’t control the weather but there were frequent lightning strikes that were a cause for concern. One of the employees with a lot of attitude told us she goes out in the lightning all the time so it’s no big deal and we should just deal with it. Despite only being out for 10 minutes they wouldn’t refund us any portion of what we paid. They consulted the owner again and said he wouldn’t change his mind.
We mentioned this to the enchantment resort who was not happy about their service and have since stopped referring their clients to outback because of other prior incidents with this company.
