Only one native artist and a lot of “native” art. Extremely sad to see pieces painted by non-native people taking in tens of thousands of dollars when the true native people of Sedona have a rest stop flea market to sell the authentic native work for practically penny’s in comparison to this gallery. Pretentious gallery full of appropriative artists and overpriced art.

Updated 5/24/2024: The gallery owner took it upon himself to find my business pages and leave negative reviews as retaliation for this honest and rather important review. The photo below is the Facebook comment I received, we called the gallery and Barbara confirmed they back up the owners actions and felt they were justified.

I am an artist and psychotherapist who brought 15 art retreat participants to this gallery because we had been on our last retreat and enjoyed the art so much.

One of our attendees was a former professor of Native American studies for 35 years and questioned the lack of representation by native artists in the gallery despite the many, many depictions of native people, symbols and culture. At this point I asked one of the staff to confirm if any of the artists were native and she brought me to the one and only Hopi artist they had in the space. I thanked her and that was that. Some of the patrons felt ignored, dismissed and followed by staff. This is reflected in my review. I was accused of bashing artists yet I did not mention any artists at all in any part of my review.

Galleries like these take 40-60% of the artists profits from sales, the paintings in this gallery that were of appropriated imagery went for tens of thousands of dollars. The artists not painting appropriated imagery in this gallery are represented by other galleries all over the world. None of the artists in this space are struggling for basic necessities yet majority of the unhomed and poverty stricken population in this area are people of native descent. So yes, people are going to question this and ask why they are not representing more native artists. How easy would it be for the owner to respond with an open mind and invite in dialogue about inclusion? Do you know how fast this review would change if they invited me in instead of casting me out as ignorant and talentless?

Consumers are allowed to question the practices of spaces like these making massive profits off the artists they claim to care about so deeply.

Shame on...

I love this place I could stay in there for hours and I have because this awesome young Man name James. If you ever visit Sedona, AZ Please make this one of your stops you will not be disappointed. James will give you a history lesson that you didn't get in school. He is so informative and professional. You can tell he has a love for the ARTS. When we walked in I was happy to see him still there, and he actually remembered me from when my sister purchased a sculpture. Now this was a yr and half ago he knew which on and he told me to let my Sister know she purchased the last one.... I can't say enough about this Gallery. The Art in there will take your breath away. It's been there for 20 yrs...if you know someone that will be taking a trip to Sedona, az please make sure to tell them to stop by and see amazing Art collection and of course James....If you are not an art lover i bet you will be one before you leave...Many Blessings to the owners for sharing a piece of their...

We really enjoyed walking around this gallery. They have a fabulous collection of art, sculpture, and jewelry to look at. They have a great outdoor path to walk with many pieces of art and sculpture to marvel at. Absolutely beautiful. A great place to just take your time and soak in some great art. The girl working here, Jennifer Garcia, that greeted us as we came in was very nice and did not hover or follow us around, but if she saw you looking at something for a long time she would come over and tell you about the piece or the artist. I loved the amount of attention she gave us, it was just the right amount. And I'm pretty sure she realized we were not going to buy, but she treated us no different. Yes, things in this gallery are in the high price range - but I did find some jewelry in my price range so I bought this beautiful little heart necklace. I love it! If you are in Sedona I highly recommend that you stop here and have a...

If you're in Sedona Arizona and have time during your stay to visit a gallery, I highly recommend spending time here immersed in a variety of world renowned artists. From the time you get out of your car and walk down the path to the gallery you'll find many beautiful bronze statues and outdoor things of interest. Very soothing to the eyes and I experienced beautiful weather so I thoroughly enjoyed my journey to the gallery. Once inside you will be greeted warmly by staff who can assist you in any way you wish. They are very knowledgeable of the artists they represent. It's deceiving from the outside, it's a larger space inside than what appears on the inside. Give yourself plenty of time to enjoy what is displayed. The sound system is incredible. Lots of art of various styles. Thanks for a great experience. I'll stop in again, it's worth it! You won't be disappointed.
