Marianne is probably the rudest waitress I've ever had. She approached us and started talking to us before even getting to our table. When she came to ask us about food, she asked "have you decided yet" as she was walking around the corner out of the kitchen. We said we needed a minute and she said "well we're closing soon" even though they had a crowded restaurant and 25 mins still to go. When we ordered she ripped the menus out of our hands and walked away. She hardly made eye contact most of the evening. She silently brought us the tab at 853 while we were still eating our food and didn't say a word, didn't even ask about dessert. She came back 10 mins later and asked us if we needed boxes. I told her i was actually wanting dessert. She said "okay". After a moment of silence i asked for the menu so i could look at options and she said "we're closed. All we have is chocolate cake and peach cobbler". I said i wanted peach cobbler and did not want a box because we were out of town and leaving the next morning. She asked my wife multiple times in this same conversation if she wanted more soda, which my wife said no all three times. My wife also got some chocolate cake. She brought us the dessert and a moment later also brought us the tab, without saying a word. Our bill was $25 dollars higher. I would not have ordered dessert if i knew the prices but she refused to bring us a menu for us to see. She came by 5 minutes later with a broom, swept up one thing right next to me and left (even though the table next to us was now empty and filthy), my guess being she just wanted to try and send a message. Never paid a waitress with exact change before but definitely did tonight. I know we got there 30 mins before close but the people next to us got dessert options, time to eat and colloquial conversation. The burger was dry, the cake was dry, the philly cheesesteak looked artificial and tasted subpar, and the cobbler lost all favorable taste within three bites, extremely salty. I'd have half a mind to demand a refund if I didn't just want to get...
Read moreWalk in ...and have no idea where to go or order. They claim poolside menu/service but the phone is never answered. They need a daytime host or something to create some sort of order here. It's a pretty huge place. They could def afford one if they got their act together and made this place the money they COULD be making with some sort of plan or structure!.
So, We walk in from pool and head to the right bar side . Rudely told, "not here... go around" pointing off into the distance somewhere. We find the ordering destination. (There is also a hidden bar on left.)The music was pounding like a nightclub. A side salad and chips togo will take at least 45-hour to make. 2 tables sitting in a cafeteria themed room with music so loud you think you walked into a strip club lol the server is very sweet but brand new and you can tell there is no management or direction. The only thing they have going, is that they are only// or closest walk from the pool/resort to get food and drinks. They could do soooooo much and make soooooo much more revenue if they catered to the resort and pool guests. Guess they have plenty of money lol. Don't need any sort of organization or plan for members. And ...I'm pretty sure the members (at very least the timeshare holders) get a discount at the restaurant but the server wasn't sure and so......... This place is silly! Get it together. There is wayyy too much money involved here to be this lost and disorganized! The food is ok....Like I said we ordered chips and a side salad. Literally!, ...a 2 min prep time. Put salad in box, chips in another and pour the cheese in a cup. Wa laa but .....it took almost an hour to do this in a very empty,...
Read moreThis is a review from a local Sedona resident. My group was meeting weekly at the Spoke and Wheel in the Timo room for just over two years. We keep our dollars local doing $50,000 of business in those two years with the Wild Thyme Restaurant Group. Although we had excellent servers, the food quality was not as one would expect for a Sedona restaurant. We worked with the local managers to balance the costs of menu items, the challenges they had with an older kitchen, and the difficulty in finding dependable kitchen staff. We even overlooked several weeks of a kitchen drain repair which had an open dirt hole in the food preparation area. Just recently we got a text from the local managers saying our group was no longer welcomed due to the complaints we made making their staff “uncomfortable”. We reached out to the California owner Heinrich Stasiuk of the Wild Thyme Restaurant Group about our surprise dismissal and how we faithfully supported the Spoke and Wheel along with the other other Wilde Thyme restaurants in Sedona. We never got a response from anyone at Wild Thyme Restaurant Group. I cannot recommend the Spoke and Wheel to my visiting family, friends, or to the many people I see in Sedona asking “where is a good place to dine in Sedona?” My answer to that question is certainly NOT the...
