Azadi Fine Rugs — Attraction in Sedona

If you are like us, we really never understood the wide range of prices in area rugs that are available in so many different types of retailers. We first experienced Azadi while we were visiting the area and just looking around some of the great shops in Sedona. We really weren't even looking for a rug, and certainly never even considered investing in a hand made, woven rug. However...when we went into Azadi we were amazed by the selection and obvious quality of their collection. Everybody there exhibited that perfect balance of friendliness and professionalism. We felt fortunate to have Chris Johnson as our salesperson and he was great at explaining the whys and hows of fine rugs to us, and he showed us an amazing array of styles, and explained the origin, and what to look for in a quality rug. It's great to work with someone who is passionate about what they do, and in short order it became very clear to us that these were not just rugs, but works of art! To make a longer story short, because of the excellent service and quality selection at Azadi in Sedona, we are now the proud owners of a beautiful hand woven, kilim, rug from Afganistan. Yes, frankly it was more than we ever thought we would pay for an area rug, but we absolutely love it and know we will enjoy it for years to come and then one of our luckiest kids will likely get to enjoy it for years after that. My wife and I visited Azadi Fine Rugs back in April 2023 with no intention to purchase, simply to explore. That's when we first encountered Mark. We ended up spending well over an hour there, captivated by his extensive knowledge of rugs, their histories, and the sheer beauty of the collection. Although we didn't buy anything during that initial visit, the insights Mark shared with us forever altered our approach to rug shopping.

Fast forward to March 2024, and we found ourselves back at Azadi, and Mark was there. We were happy we caught him. This place is just one if the many treasures in sedona. Their rugs are beautiful to say the least. They come with a price but there are rugs of all sizes so almost anyone visiting can find something within their budget. Chris was a treat to deal with; not only did Chris show us some of his personal favorites but he showed us some outdoor rugs that can be made that are not in store. This is our second time in sedona and he also gave us a list of places to go to eat and great trails to hike that are not as common.
