The Cosmetics Company Store — Attraction in Sevierville

This is a smaller a CCO compared to some others but the store itself was very nice. Since I work in the beauty retail industry I was extremely impressed with their customer service! The staff was helpful, knowledgeable about products, and made sure to help in us getting the best deals possible with the current promotions that were running. The only reason I chose not to rate 5 stars was due to the fact that they were extremely low on almost all products, if they had any stock at all. Now I do realize this is an outlet store (which is also located in a heavy tourist trafficked huge strip mall outlet) so I understand inventory maybe hard to keep aplenty.. However, they were out of so much that the shelves even looked empty. Which I’m not sure why they keep the testers out for product they don’t have and aren’t getting back in because it gets your hopes up that a product is available to purchase. There were more than a dozen products that I was gonna buy as soon as I seen the testers out only to learn that there was no stock. That was my only complaint. Cindy Pouwels is writing this review. I bought 4 foundations in a shade that the salesperson said looked good on me. The next morning I put the foundation on and it was way too light. I put a mark on the box that I opened, because I would understand if they could not exchange that one. That was a Tuesday. I tried several times on Wednesday and several times on Thursday to exchange, but the store was never open. On our way home to New Orleans, we stopped. They were open and I asked if I could exchange 3 of the wrong foundations for a better color for my skin. The girl said she would have to call the district manager. I guess she left a message, because she told me she did not know when she would hear back from the manager. I explained that we were on our way back to New Orleans. I hung around as long ad I could, but finally had to leave. I got no apology. In fact, I was completely ignored. I spent $127. There was no reason that these could not have been swapped out. I would love to rate this store 5 stars because most experiences I've had were 5 stars until my most recent trip. They had signs advertising 50% off if you spend $100 or more. I gathered several things and the staff was super helpful. I checked out and took a few steps outside the door when I realized my purchase was higher than it should have been. I went back in and showed them that I had only gotten 25% off my $100 face cream which made it $25 higher than it should've been. They said it was excluded from the promotion. I explained they should have a sign starting what things are excluded and that I didn't want to pay that much. I was told, "sorry all sales are final!". In general they have great prices but make sure to ask if any of your products are excluded from the sale before purchasing, or you may get an unpleasant...
