So this morning at 10:30 I went to OfficeMax in Weatherford to get a few items printed for my wedding. I walked in and went to the print department with my images already sent to the store's ods email. When I talked to the woman with strawberry blonde short hair behind the counter (I would put a name in this review, but this employee was not wearing a name tag or wearing an earpiece) she wouldn't look at my email and said since she was busy she didn't have time to look at my email and see what I needed. Additionally, she said I needed to submit the order on-line, and when I said I had and I had the confirmation on my phone she still insisted that I leave because she was busy helping someone else.
This really upset me, that an employee refused to even attempt to help a customer. She didn't even open my email or ask me any questions related to my order. She asked me to go home and submit my printing needs on their website.
I was disappointed with this lack of help to say the least.
When I called in an hour later to speak to a manager to see if there was a policy change I wasn't aware of she said there was no reason for the print department to have sent me away even if they were backlogged and busy.
After I talked to the print department and the manager I was still disappointed with how I was spoken to: how it was my fault that I was sent away. I was very frustrated with the manager on duty that she didn't apologize for how I was spoken to and turned away. She made excuses for the employee. I was told that because they have had staff leaving the print department that they weren't able to work as hard and get things done. Not to sound rude, but I am not in charge of the hiring of employees I just want to be treated like a person and get my wedding programs printed.
The manager ended up having to get off the phone with me with my order still not started or in the que and I feel very frustrated. As a teacher in Weatherford I come to this store OFTEN to get things printed. I am a customer that has come over and over again to get work done and this is how I was treated?
They need to do better. I am so upset after this phone call and the lack of work ethic or...
Read moreMy daughter and I went to OfficeMax in Weatherfoard today around 10:30 to get some copies done for her wedding on the 29th of this month. My daughter had the jobs on her computer and emailed them to the website. The employee had short strawberry blonde hair with no name tag. She did not open the email, she did not ask how many copies we needed. Her only reply was she could not help us today. She was busy. We were told to submit online. We came to the store in person because we wanted to check sizes and weight and color of paper. We were again asked to leave and to take care of it online. We left the store and, granted, we were upset.
My daughter called about an hour later and talked to 2-3 people on the phone. Many excuses were made and the order is still not filled ("print is busy and no time to fill"; "the managers were at a training when this occured")... but I saw the manager at the technology counter, so I was lied to and when my daughter called they said they could not find the documents that were emailed until she told them we had a confimation number.
I have been an OfficeMax customer for many years, and I know from my own experiences the print department is always busy. My family is a family of teachers, and we use the print department constantly - the constant with the print department is that we don't get our work same-day. That was not my expectation. I have never, however, been sent away from this store or any other because the staff was "too busy" to speak with me and fill my order. That was astonishgly poor customer service. There's no other way to put it.
The reason we wanted to do this in person and not online to avoid mistakes. Now what do we do?
I have lived in Weatherford for 30 years and use OfficeMax regularly and I am so disppointed in how we were treated today. Do you not want or need...
Read moreWhen I arrived, I asked if I could have several files from my flash drive printed on 28-pound paper. The associate working at the counter—a large male with long hair and a beard—scoffed and asked, “Why?” in a dismissive tone. I brushed it off, handed him my USB, and explained that I wanted seven copies of each file. Without asking for clarification, he began printing in black and white and stated that he “assumed” that’s what I wanted. When I corrected him and requested color, he restarted the print job.
He then began asking for my phone number without explanation, and when I clarified that I wanted seven physical copies, his body language and tone made it clear he was irritated. My wife and I even considered asking if someone else could assist us because of how personally offended he seemed by the request.
To make matters worse, the printed copies of the piece of paper I gave him were crooked. I understand everyone can have an off day, but this experience was well below the standard of service I’ve received from your store in the past. The lack of professionalism, poor communication, and subpar print quality left a very...
