Very fun experience & a welcome break from the waterparks! Plenty of holes at various difficulty levels to choose from. Friendly for all ages & all types of people. Courses are well-kept; the scenery is beautiful. There are AMPLE photo opportunities as this place is constantly blooming with flowers & plants of various colors & sizes! Up on the hill, it also overlooks the busiest intersection in the Dells, but a nice, Northwoods & scenic view.
The only drawback is that it's on a hill. That means there are stairs one will have to trek to get to whichever course you want to do. But once you decide which course to play, it's not much more trekking of stairs & such. The other thing, few shaded areas in the summer! Yes, we're in Wisconsin, so people think it never gets to 90s or 100s in the summer, but what people don't realize, is that land-locked areas also get the harshest weathers; cold winters, hot summers. SOOO...no shade on top of the hill in the summer can get quite hot. They do have misters, so that helps.
Bonus: winner gets...
Read moreLoved it! Beautiful scenery, loved the running water, waterfalls, flowers and shrubs, some shaded areas from the trees, holes were entertaining. I liked the misting stations throughout the area, vending machines, garbages/recycling were spread pretty frequent.
Only wished the courses were more difficult because it just seemed like it was always 2-3 so there was no competition when we were playing. Not sure if they easily made it like that or we are just good. Also wished vending machines took card but wasn't that big of a deal.
Staff was friendly up in the front. The Staff chatting around with each other were funny cause they were just kids having a good time but wish they were more in working mode on a busy day. I waved them down to ask a question they looked petrified and was like oh my gosh are you talking to me look.
Not handicap friendly or if you have trouble walking up and down stairs, hills, uneven ground. Great exercise though and remember to look...
Read moreThis place was a lot of fun!!! Beautiful flowers and waterfalls. The holes were kept up really nice.
I will say tho, there were 2 options for more 'accessible' type courses and i would not recommend the Captain Kidd's course if you absolutely cannot do stairs or steep incline/declines without assistance (including railing). They said the most stairs would be 5, but some holes had more and some spots were uneven and there was a really steep hill with no rail to get to one of the holes. Don't get me wrong it was so much fun, but we saw the couple in front of us have a difficult time with some areas especially the steep hill. They did say the Blackbeard's 18 was the fattest, it is also located at the top of the hill, so if u come in at the bottom, you will have to drive around to the top where they have another area that you can pay so you dont have to try and find parking, get out and have to get back into your car to...
