I want to preface this review by saying that good, quality, reasonably-priced food is hard to find in the Dells. Not only that, but to find a locally owned, unique place... well you might be driving around quite a bit. So when my three friends and I walked in here on a Friday afternoon in April, we weren't really sure what to expect. We've been coming to the dells all of our lives, but it wasn't until we were adults that we realized just how few legitimate options there were for a decent meal.
Well I think we finally found one. When we arrived, the sign on the door said it was their grand opening, first day. The staff was incredibly friendly. The premise of the joint is fairly straight forward. You get an 11 inch pizza, with pretty much whatever you want on it, for one, reasonable price. Not only that, but the pizza comes out of the oven in under five minutes. Hard to complain about that. I'm not a drinker, but they've got bottled beers, Coke products, salad for you healthy folks...I can't really say I have any complaints. It's decorated nicely, had some good classic tunes coming through the speakers. It's a nice joint. Good, fresh product on your pizza. Good price. Friendly staff.
Seriously, there is so much garbage in the Wisconsin Dells when it comes to restaurants. Do yourself a favor and support this new, local and quality joint. You won't feel like death when you walk out the door and you won't feel like you just got robbed.
If it wasn't already clear, I say you have to check...
Read moreWe ordered 5 pizzas for dinner. Ordered online and that process was smooth. Walked in to pick up and that was a little unorganized but not a huge deal. We asked for the BBQ chicken pizza without certain things on it...and they came with the items on the pizza. The inside of the box even stated the items we said in the order not to put on the pizza but apparently they didn't see that. Again, not a huge deal. The big deal is someone in our group got food positioning from a pizza! She was the only one that ate from that pizza...the chicken was undercooked! I emailed about the situation, the customer service was great with the corporate end. They requested that I call the manager from the restaurant specifically. I called tonight and she was very unhelpful. Offered a free pizza ..it's like um no thanks. We won't be eating there again. I asked to just be refunded of the chicken pizza and she claimed she couldn't do that. Wants me to call back tomorrow. We will not be ordering from here ever again. And I wouldn't... unless you want food positioning. They claim the meat gets cooked preciously and gets shipped there so basically saying not sure how someone could have gotten food positioning. Ew. We are 99.9 it WAS food poisoning. Super unsatisfied. Feel free to message me owner with a response! This WAS at the Wisconsin Dells restaurant. ...
Read moreFirst, this is Neapolitan crust pizza. Thinner. Chewier. NOT FLUFFY! We knew that going in and, as for Neapolitan crust, enjoyed it. It is a good Neapolitan crust.
Big plus. If you are willing to try new things, there are some wicked good combos you can make here. Spicy meatballs with poblanos ranch. Chicken and Sriracha with Bleu cheese. You are wasting your time if you order what Domino's can make.
Small strike. There was little in the way of seasoning to the sauce. I know they have other sauces but the "traditional red" should still have been basil-y or something.
Medium strike. No one answers the phone. Walk in to order or order online. But when I called (twice), there was no answer. They just don't take phone orders, I figure.
Medium strike. They missed toppings. My daughter's pizza didn't get the pesto on top that it should have. My wife's pizza had no cheese. Wouldn't you double check to make sure you aren't missing something. When a restaurant carers to custom orders, you would not expect a mistake like this. And twice in one order?
I appreciate that they sell cannolis but they must sit in the refrigerator a little while. The crust was soft, not crunchy like one would expect. But, again, no one offers cannolis.
Biggest plus...it's...
