Scoopys Ice Cream And Candy — Restaurant in Wisconsin Dells

This is a review for the Ice cream section of the store...First off the ice cream was very tasty. However, the staff was very unfriendly. We walked straight through the other section of the store to the ice cream area. There were 3 workers in that area, no other customers and no one greeted us when we came in. Then the young woman behind the counter just looked at us with out saying a word. I asked if they gave samples. She said yes. After my 2 daughters had 2 samples each and me and my mom had 1 sample. The worker said "At some point you have to buy you can't just keep sampling". Which I totally understand, however I feel like if you are going to sample ice cream at least allow 2 samples a person before you get annoyed. Then my elementary aged kids were deciding what to get. Still with no other customers in the store the worker says rudely, "Do you know what you want yet". Therefore, I'm rating the ice cream section of this store a 2 star. Maybe I expect too much but I'm used to Ice cream parlors being a friendly inviting place for families. And not a place that makes my family feel unwanted and my kids and elderly mom feel uncomfortable. If the samples weren't so tasty I would have walked out. The ice cream tasted good when I sampled it but that’s where the “good” stopped. My husband ordered a shake before me and when he got it, it was very runny. I went ahead and ordered a shake. She was clearly upset she had to make another shake but started anyway. I then asked for it to be a bit thicker than my husband’s shake and the worker just looked at me strange and asked “thicker?”. She went back to making it and must have gotten frustrated because she turned around, pointed to the 2 people behind us and said “Is it okay if I help them? They’ve been waiting awhile.” So the worker took their order for the free ice cream deal while we continued to wait for our ice cream we were going to pay for. In the end, I got my shake but it was so runny it was like drinking flavored milk with chunks in it. Moral of the story: DON’T...

What an amazing experience. I have never laughed or smiled so much in a store before . The customer service was spectacular. I didn't get the gentleman's name but let me tell you he was very welcoming , I felt like family. He was extremely patient and gave us samples to try (Another great way to gain customers ) so we wouldn't be upset with our purchases . Not only is the popcorn delicious but the chocolates , fudge and ice cream is phenomenal. Let me stop there because if I don't this review will turn into a book. All I have to say is if you want good quality snacks, good quality items and superb customer service you need to stop here and try it for yourself .
