This place looked appealing as I approached it, so I gave it a try.
I walked through the Entrance with my significant other. We approached the Tickets desk and Admission for General was $16. Ticket Sales Include Tax. We went through the Entrance door and started our adventure.
The first thing I encountered was the Ringtailed Lemur display. There were two Lemurs and they sure did seem mischievous. Right next to that was the Emu display. I saw two Emus in there and they were large!
The American Elk Duke was beautiful. It was astonishing to look at. They even had more American Elk in a different enclosure that were just as beautiful.
After that, I checked out some Deer. I saw the White Fallow Deer, Black Fallow Deer, White Tail Deer, and Spotted Fallow Deer. I loved them all!
I checked out the American Bison Mini & Pearl display. They didn’t seem too happy to be in there, so that instantly saddened me.
This place had a White-Tailed Deer Refuge with so many Deer. It seemed to be a giant enclosure. I didn’t care for seeing those beautiful Deer being restricted.
The Racoons and Rabbits were great to see. They were all in small enclosures, so that was terrible.
The Peacock display was cool to see, but it wasn’t too big. I spotted three and I think they needed more space to roam around in. They were gorgeous, though.
The service wasn’t pleasant here and it definitely wasn’t friendly. The employees had snarky attitudes.
Overall, it was nice to stop and see the animals, but that was about it. I enjoyed seeing them all, but they deserve a better environment. Admission was a bit steep for what you get. I probably won’t go back here.

Read moreWe had a great time at Wisconsin Deer Park- it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip!
Before visiting, we saw reviews online saying not to waste money on the crackers sold at the entrance, but we didn’t have any issues with the deer eating them. We visited just after Labor Day weekend (off-season), around noon, and the deer were still very interested in food. Reviews often recommend coming earlier in the day when they’re hungrier, which makes sense, but we found them friendly and eager to interact even at midday.
The setup was really special: you walk right through their habitat and the deer will come up to you, follow you around, and even let you pet them while feeding. They clearly preferred food to pets, but the experience was still magical and very safe. The second half of the park especially was full of friendly deer eager for snacks.
There are also other animals in the park. Most seemed fine, but the lemurs looked a little understimulated, and the rabbits didn’t make a lot of sense to us since you can’t pet them (they bite). Their enclosures were large enough, but they didn’t have access to grass or roaming space- hopefully they get some time outside of their cages occasionally.
Tips for visiting: • Definitely buy the crackers, we had a great experience with them. • Bring lots of quarters for the corn machines scattered throughout the park. • Plan to spend at least an hour or two walking through slowly, especially if you have kids.
Overall, it’s a unique and memorable experience that we’d recommend to families visiting the Dells. Getting that close to the deer, and having them walk alongside you is something you...
Read moreThe Deer park was an awesome experience, being racially profiled by of one employee was not. Admission was 22 dollars and that is with the optional crackers you can purchase to feed the animals. After there is a gift shop you can purchase items from. I loved it so I decided to support the place and buy two t-shirts totaling over $60. The cashier asked if I wanted a receipt, I declined knowing it would simply be another piece of paper in my pockets. There was no bag offered, I grabbed my items and stopped to talk to a friend that was still browsing by the door while my other 5 lighter complected friends walked out before I did. There was an older white lady frantically wiping down the glass doors. I opened the door and was immediately met very rudely and loudly, “did you pay for those???”. I replied “yes?” And continued out to meet my friends. After a few minutes realizing my friends did not receive this same interrogation, I decided to go refund my items. Feeling embarrassed, I go back up to the young lady that checked me out and asked to return the items. The older lady at the door said “I didn’t see you pay for them” and I responded “it’s alright I just want to return these items” she rebuked “sorry there’s no refunds” while the young lady was already getting ready to assist me. I said they can keep their items and I would be filing a charge with my credit card company. After asking if she was in charge the lady said “no let’s do it, just refund him”. It was embarrassing and completely killed my once great vacation experience. The rest of the staff...
