I haven’t actually been to this spa, Mido Spa, but I want to alert all reviewers to make sure you have the correct business when you review. This business page is Mido Spa - don’t be confused with MIDU Spa which is across the road and probably the actual one you received terrible service from.
MIDU Spa (terrible) is a competitor spa and nail salon across the road and they are shockingly terrible, will rip you off and undoubtably cause you pain and suffering as they did to my daughters bleeding fingers and toes from their manicure and pedicure! They ended up charging us double from what they said on the street as well.
When we attended the dodgy salon there was no business page on Google reviews for that business (MIDU) in Jan 2025 so I created a page so I cld review them and warn everyone away. For a little while when I checked it was one bad review after another and I have checked again and they have deleted the whole page and all the reviews, or done something so their business can not be reviewed or searched.
I’ve now noticed a review on this business page (Mido) where someone has reviewed badly and the owner has clarified that the reviewer was not a client…so it’s pretty clear the dodgy business (MIDU) is causing the legit business (Mido) harm. Reviewers mistakenly assume the dodgy one across the road has good ratings and then when they receive inevitably poor service from the dodgy business (MIDU), the reviewers then rate the wrong business (Mido).
The fact that they have pulled down the page I created for their business and there are now no reviews anywhere on the internet to warn people how terrible they are, means they are knowingly deceitful to fleece you of your money but also are not properly qualified and trying to evade being reviewed terribly so they can keep fleecing new victims. It wouldn’t surprise me if people are making Google business pages to review them because they’re so bad (like I did) and somehow the dodgy business are taking them down.
Anyway, it seems the only place to warn people about them and their dodgy salon is here so new reviewers that are victimised by them don’t review this business (Mido Spa) negatively thinking they are the same business. Be clear about which business you are reviewing because it’s unfair for the legit business to be punished when it’s not their customers reviewing.
I’m back in Australia and have no affiliations with either business. I just really want to caution people against mistakenly thinking MIDU Spa (dodgy) is Mido Spa (legit) and review consciously…but also avoid the dodgy place.
I have added a couple of photos as well so if you want to follow up the dodgy salon for what they’ve done to you or how to avoid them then. I really hope this review helps to bring clarity to...
Read moreWas looking for a massage place. Walked past & saw that it has many good ratings. Seemingly catered to tourist, I've decided to give it a go. Tried the 'Intuitive shiatsu' for 75min at 590,000 Perhaps I was anticipating a better massage given all the raving reviews I read on here. Or Perhaps I was the last customer (which I'm grateful as I had no idea they were closing at 2330h and I sauntered in at like 2040h) and the masseuse had little left in her. The pressure was not shabby. But was weak at times. A little inconsistent. She tried to knead away some hard and knotted spots. For someone who's done a lot of tuina TCM massage, this was mild. I've also done a lot of Thai massages in Bangkok; this was definitely not on par. If I had to be objective, ratings would be 6/10 for the massage and 4/10 value for money. I would imagine someone preferring a relatively relaxing message wouldve enjoyed it a lot more. I was looking for pain relief/ remedy for my aching legs from Sapa trekking. The front reception lady was well spoken and friendly. The place was clean and ambience was conducive for spa. Had to climb up to 4th storey though. I also didn't like that the fan was on in addition to the air-conditioning. They also served cold tea before and after massage. These are not ideal for a massage (TCM perspective), they're "cold" and you'll get "damp wind" in your body, making it susceptible to...
Read moreMido Spa was one of the spas that were highly recommended both in TripAdvisor and Google reviews. Besides the high reviews, their price was reasonable compared to the others.
The reception was friendly and they had free pick up service. After notifying my hotel on my intention, they helped me contact Mido Spa and a taxi was subsequently sent. When we arrived at the place, the taxi was duly paid by the staff. Upon reaching, we were greeted by a very friendly person and he offered us the menu and welcome drink. We asked him few questions and he fully understood the different types of massages and also what we were looking for.
We climbed up to the 10th floor, which was actually the 5th floor. Our masseurs were friendly, always smiling, and knew how to be quiet once the massage session started. Last point being a point I really like as some massage parlours do not know how to be silent during the massage. Strength of the masseurs were just nice and both my gf and me loved the session.
We will be coming back again before we...
