I loved my stay in Casa Salento so much. I was travelling solo and it was the first place I stayed on my first visit to Colombia and set such a high standard. The room was clean and despite having trees right outside my room there were no insects in the room. Jhon manages the hotel remotely and offered the most friendly and helpful service for which I was so grateful. He organised airport pickup for me, put me in their quietest room per my request, asked for honest feedback on my room, checked in with me several times during my stay, fixed a small issue I had with the room very quickly, suggested plenty of things for me to do in and around Salento, and even contacted the coach company for me when I lost my bag on a coach from Salento to Medellin. I felt so well looked after by the team at the hotel too, who were all really friendly and patient with me despite my poor Spanish language skills. Breakfast was great too, with good proportions and options. The breakfast/ communal area is also a nice space to meet other people, which I did. They also prepare a packed breakfast for tours if you give them a heads up the day before, and you can borrow rain boots for free if needed, which was a life saver for the Cocora Valley tour. The bus station and the office for booking tours was also super close (less than 5 mins walk). Overall, I would highly recommend Casa Salento to anyone travelling solo or with...

Read moreThe staff was very friendly and welcomed us with a delicious cup of coffee. An extra welcome video in english was presented to us at the check-in, to get to know the town and the most important activities to do and restaurants around the hotel, which was very hel pful. The room was clean and comfy. Breakfast was included, there were a lot of options to choose and it also was served in the room on the balcony, what we enjoyed a lot. Also free coffee, tea and water all day long. The room was cleaned every day (we stayed 3 nights) and we hot fresh towles. The town is really lovely, very colorful, a lot of funny activities to do. We really liked it and we definitely could have stayed longer. price-performance ratio top. The only negative point for us was that it was somewhat poorly soundproofed and noisy, but based on our experiences in South America that should be the case in general...
