I wanted to give it a good rating since the staff is awesome and the location is perfect, and list my issues in the comments rather than give them a lower score. We loved the room, a suite with a small balcony. There was no view from the room, however, in Prague you are only in your room to sleep. Location is most important and this hotel is one left turn away from old town square. The staff is fantastic, very friendly and extremely helpful.
How to get there; It was frustrating to find since maps wants to take you through peśi zonas (pedestrian areas) to get there. We repeatedly found ourselves in them and having to turn around in tiny spaces with swarms of people around you is nerve racking, especially when the police are right there. They were lovely help, though. What we did was pick a point close to the hotel that we knew was drivable, and then navigate the shorter distance. One of my pictures is a map of what streets you can take in the last few blocks to get there.
There is a garage, it is 30€ per night. We also had a suite with 2 bathrooms that was clean, nice and very affordable.
My only issue that caused disappointment was the tour we booked. With only 1 full day in Prague we knew we weren’t going to hit every site, but upon checkin we were present with the option of a tour that listed everything we wanted to see. My son has crohns and isn’t the biggest on walking long distances, and what interested me most was the advert of a mini coach and the chance of rain that day was extremely hi (and it rained all day). I did not think that we would be in a coach the whole time, Prague is a walking city not a very drivable one, but what that led me to believe is that we would be driven to the different sections of Prague and walk around learning about the area before moving on to a new one in the mini coach. We booked the tour and it was very disappointing. The guide was 5 minutes late and showed up looking like she had partied all night and forgot she had a job. During her introduction she was so frazzled that she forgot her English and couldn’t find words to express herself. We thought it was unprofessional, but what worried us more was that the ‘’mini coach’ was actually a tiny mini van that picked us up and dropped us at the top of the hill behind Prague castle complex. We didn’t touch a vehicle again, which seemed a bit deceiving to us. We also did not go to the monastery, which was listed as one of the places we would visit. The boat part of the tour was a big disappointment. It took up 50 minutes of the 6 hour tour and it only goes a mile or so down the river, then turns around to come back. There was no discussion or further info about our surroundings, rather the guide sat at a table across the room quietly speaking with a small group from the tour. She could have stood in the middle and continued to talk about her city to everyone, as there was no other tourists on the boat. Also, Prague looks better from up high!
I would actually refer the hotel to find a new tour company, and make sure the tour is what’s listed in the description so that customers know exactly what they’re getting into. We had to leave the tour after the coming to the bridge, about 3.5 hours in, due to the weather and the discomfort of my son. We were also assured the group would be small, but disappointed to find out that there were 17 others with us from various other hotels. That is not a small group. We also had some very elderly people on the tour. An 83 year old man collapsed and injured himself on one of the steep inclines. My husband basically had to carry him down the rest of the street to a flatter part, while the tour guide led the group ahead, so I had to stay back in between to make sure they didn’t get lost from the group. So if you are older, maybe a private guide would be best.

Read moreIf I hadn't given the incident with the hotel reception I would have given the hotel a better rating.
We booked a double room and a twin room for 4 people. The two beds room is larger than the double bed room. Positive, the rooms are very spacious and clean.👍 Positive, the hotel is in the middle of the center. 👍 All sights are 10-15 minutes walk away. 👍Positive, you can have in bathroom hairdryer, enough soup and toilet paper.👍
The breakfast is super good.👍 There are 5 different types of cheese👍. There are two coffee machines and hot chocolate👍.There are salads and muesli and croissant.There is fruit and various juices .So, the breakfast is really great. Class.👍👍
The check-in is from 2 p.m (14 o'clock) . The check-out is 11 a.m (11 o'clock). The breakfast is 7:30-10::30 a.m ( 7:30-10:30 o'clock) .
What I disliked is that I don't have a bathrobe in the bathroom👎. There are no slippers.👎 I'm doing a city trip here. I don't bring my whole household with me for that. The slippers must be available. The TV is there, but it doesn't work or the signals are so weak that you can't watch TV. 👎 I booked a parking space. The car park costs 30€ per night and is underground under the hotel. I was told beforehand that I will block another car with my car. For that I should leave my car key at the reception. That's fine. When I asked reception what proof I would get for handing in the car key at reception, they told me at reception that I would not get anything as proof. I then explained to the lady that tomorrow she can simply claim that I hadn't handed over the car keys. She didn't like that. The solution was that I should leave my phone number with them. Then one of the ladies said maybe we'll call you in the middle of the night.👎 I didn't like that kind of saying. Let's continue with the negative points; I should say if my car is big or small. Because the parking spaces are determined according to the size of the car. I drive an Audi Q2. An Audi Q2 is smaller than an Audi Q3, Q4, Q5, Q6, Q7, Q8. It's only slightly larger than a Q1. That's why I wanted a small parking space for my Audi Q2. When I saw the allocated parking space on paper, I realized that the space for my car is too small. That's why I wanted to change my mind. Then the lady at the reception got angry and told me that I should make the right decision. I must note here that there were no other guests standing behind me so no queue. When I showed her my car on the smartphone, she answered very snotty that she doesn't need to know all the vehicles. I hadn't asked her to do that, and it wasn't my question. She should use the photo to estimate the size of the car to the...
Read morePositives: Brilliant location. Everything at a stone throw. We stayed in one of the suites and the city views from terrace were exceptional. Spacious rooms. Staff friendly and helpful.
Negatives: These may or may not matter to every one but we all travel a fair bit these days and have come to expect a minimum set of hospitality standard. These our completely with regards to my personal expectations. These were not mentioned to the hotel during our stay as we short on time and just wanted to get on with things. No milk in room with tea/coffee, we were asked to either get it from the breakfast buffet or fetch it from the stores outside. Rather inconvenient as we reached late evening and needed a cuppa. It was not provided even after a repeat request Fragile and dated furnishings in room - bathroom tiles falling over, door and wardrobe knobs coming out The skylight in one of the rooms had been left open before we checked in and rain water had dripped down on the chest of drawers (with a TV on it) below Absolutely no 'usual' literature in room about the hotel, equipment usage, emergency numbers, fire exits, sightseeing, places to eat etc. The operation of the skylights is a bit tricky and there was no manual or similar explaining anything Mediocre breakfast 'Usual' vanity items not provided like body lotion, tooth paste etc. - Lamps not plugged in when we checked in. We had to move heavy furniture to plug them in Not much assistance on check in. We reached at about 11 pm with two tired kids and were provided very less assistance to choose a room while scrambling across floors in different set of lifts Above said, the building is a bit of a puzzle in itself and one of the old lifts looks like its going to have a free fall. The floors mentioned on it are 1-4. There is also a new set of lifts that are 'normal' but the floors mentioned on it are 1-6. It gets a bit confusing especially to...
