Minimum effort to provide good customer support. Right after booking the apartment I contacted the property ( while still being able to cancel the booking ) to inquire about communication for check in , informing that I am from Canada , won’t have easy access to internet ( our Canadian international data /cell plans are outrageously expensive )and will have to rely on wi-fi in other hotels during my travels through Europe and will be driving through Czech Republic on my way to Prague. I was assured that communication will be easy . Well, it wasn’t! Two days before check in I sent a message through Booking app inquiring about the check in process ( access code , apartment number ), got an answer that everything will be emailed to me 24 hours before check in time . I asked if this info could be duplicated in the communication chat on booking app since wi-fi was very week at the place I was staying ( my work emails were not loading properly). No, they couldn’t do it ( while every single hotel, apartment , Airbnb owner through my three week trip had communicated with me through that application without any problems). After numerous failed attempts to get the emails with the code , we had to ask a local person ( since we didn’t have cell service as I mentioned during initial booking) for help with calling customer support. It took several phone calls to get the code and apartment number while we were standing by the door to the apartment once again reading the response from customer service in the Booking app that they had sent all the info by the email . I was ready to book a hotel and call my credit card to cancel this booking as the agreed service was not provided . Two days later I asked for fresh towels and removal of garbage , I got the response that my request will be forwarded to the housekeeper. However , later that day the housekeeper was not aware of my request when I talked to her ( we used signs to communicate , she was very helpful but would have benefited from getting the message in her own language from the customer service). So, while the location is good and apartment is nice, lack of customer support makes the experience of staying in this apartment uniquely...
Read moreAn updated property in an awesome location in Prague - upper river front until has amazing views! Be sure to find the lift / elevator to help with your bags (lower level entry is around behind the stairs). Cute cafe and wine bar below if you want to grab a quick bite or sip. On a busy street (a block away from the Dancing House) but with the double windows it was very quite. In late Sept it was a little steamy during the day so we opened windows for a cross breeze and used fans - as there is no air conditioning - summer months may be an issue. Kitchen well stocked with lovely glasses and plates. Appreciated washing machine in the unit however good luck figuring out how to use it (english instructions would be helpful). Very clean. Support team was helpful in their prompt replies but not in resolution on a couple of things 1. note euro style - second bath is a hand shower over tub (no curtain) and little to no space to store your toiletries. bath and hand towel per person provided - no extras so use yours wisely or ask for additional. 3. no late checkouts and no bag / luggage store so if needed be sure to contact Daniel's Luggage store which was easy and convenient (a short drive away) a home business but very trustworthy. 4. we never found the safe in our unit. Despite the tiny short comings, this is an awesome property for 2 couples or a...
Read moreLet me start with the only two good things about this place: the location, which is excellent, and the bed, which was comfortable. That’s it.||Everything else was a huge disappointment. Absolutely nothing matched the photos shown at the time of booking.|We were given a ground floor room that looked more like a storage closet than actual accommodation: small, with a dark bathroom, facing a blind courtyard that was anything but pleasant.||The most unbelievable part? The boiler. After just a few minutes of showering, the hot water was gone, leaving only freezing water. Coming back from a long day of walking, we found ourselves unable to shower simply because someone else had already used up the boiler. That is truly shameful for a place that advertises itself as high standard.||In the morning, the chaos was indescribable: it felt like being at Copacabana, with shouting, loud music, and cleaning staff making noise with zero regard for guests trying to rest.||Another small positive note (besides location and bed): there’s a café next door serving delicious food at very fair prices. The reception did reply quickly to our complaints, but that doesn’t change the overall experience: a terrible apartment compared to expectations, absolutely not what was promised.||👉 If you decide to book, do so only knowing that nothing is...
