Moonlight Appartments Old Town — Hotel in Prague

We have booked Moonlight Apartments in Old Town for our stay, drawn in by its high rating and positive reviews, as well as its prime location in the heart of Prague’s Old Town. The location certainly lives up to expectations—being right in the center of Prague makes it incredibly easy to explore the city's main attractions on foot or by public transport. This is, unfortunately, where the positives end.

The apartment was a major disappointment in terms of cleanliness and upkeep. Although the owner claims to use a professional cleaner, we found the apartment unacceptably dirty upon arrival, with visible dirt that suggests a lack of attention to detail (we have photos to back this up). It’s disappointing to book a place expecting at least a basic level of cleanliness, only to be met with an unkempt space.

Additionally, the apartment itself is poorly maintained. The blinds are totally inadequate, especially for an apartment located on the first floor/basement level, where passersby and neighbors can easily see inside. The lack of privacy due to these ineffective blinds is unsettling, and it’s not something a guest should have to deal with during their stay.

To the owner: Please don’t respond with “you could have notified me, and I would have fixed the blinds and cleaned better.” That is not the correct approach in hospitality. Each apartment should be thoroughly inspected before new guests arrive to ensure high standards are maintained.
