Horizon Pyramids View INN — Hotel in Giza

Nice motel like room. No to spacious. I cut my finger on the metal of the balcony door. I mean I cut it to the white meat! Door goes either way but I'm assuming it it supposed to go outward. Had a time figuring it out and cut myself in the process. Very small motel and your rooms will be right by the receptionist. And I do mean right by them so no privacy in that regards! Family owned property with other hotels sharing the same building. The main draw is the views!!!! You see the pyramids directly from the rooms with the views and the Jacuzzi make for some great social media pictures. The area is kind of ghetto but not dangerous as I walked for food at night and didn't feel any ways in danger. All kinds of food is within walking distance as well as souvenirs. The motel is kind of hard to find so be wearing your good glasses! This is a newer motel so at least you know the stuff hasn't been abused yet. Very close to pyramids if yours are on your list. This is not a hotel, it is an apartment turned into an Airbnb. It is situated on the 4th floor of an apartment building, in which there is a giant ashtray as everyone smokes inside. There was no information on how to reach the place, which floor to go to, and the information given on Booking.com was incredibly misleading. The location is unbearably noisy, even with the windows closed you can hear cars honking 24/7. The service is lacking, poor English skills, we were never asked what we wanted for breakfast or if we had any allergies, and it never arrived at the requested time, making us late every day. We had to ask multiple times for the room to be cleaned, they even left the rest of the breakfast in the room for an entire day and a bathmat completely soaked. The shower is overrun by limescale, the big shower head was unusable because it was clogged. The mini fridge didn't work. Molti hotel a Giza sono fregature o bufale, ma quest’hotel è invece da promuovere a pieni voti. Si tratta di un piccolo hotel a conduzione familiare, si trova al quarto piano di un palazzo, una volta effettuato il check in sono stato accompagnato nella mia stanza: gigantesca, pulita e molto accessoriata. Il phon funzionava, così come la ventola nel bagno, mi è stata fornita una quantità industriale di asciugamani e biancheria, tutti pulitissimi. In stanza sono presenti anche il bagnoschiuma e lo shampoo, oltre alla carta igienica. La TV è sintonizzata su canali locali, ma spulciando ho potuto trovare qualche episodio di Tom & Jerry in Inglese. Il condizionatore funzionava fin troppo bene, bastava tenerlo acceso per pochi minuti per raffreddare la stanza. C’era anche il bollitore per il the ed un frigorifero, al cui interno è possibile trovare due bottiglie d’acqua. La colazione al mattino era estremamente abbondante, non sono mai riuscito a finirla, c’erano sia cose dolci sia cose salate; ogni mattina la cameriera me la portava direttamente in stanza, all’orario concordato la sera prima. Dalla stanza si vedevano le piramidi, considerate che l’albergo si trova decisamente più in alto di tutti gli altri palazzi della zona, quindi hai campo libero su tutta la piana di Giza: incredibile veramente, ogni mattina la prima cosa che facevo era proprio aprire la finestra per godere del panorama. Il personale parla Inglese ed è stato davvero di una gentilezza e di una disponibilità incredibili: grazie al portiere al piano terra che mi portava una sedia ogni volta che aspettavo gli Uber, grazie alla cameriera per il suo sorriso ogni mattina quando mi portava la colazione, grazie al ragazzo della reception per avermi accompagnato sul tetto, dal quale la vista sulle piramidi e la sfinge è impareggiabile; grazie al proprietario per avermi insegnato come indossare una Kefiah per le escursioni nel deserto. La loro disponibilità è stata davvero un game changer per il mio viaggio in Egitto. La struttura offre anche la possibilità di ordinare cibo o di prenotare escursioni e transfer, ma non sono stati per niente insistenti: ho apprezzato molto. L’ultimo giorno appunto mi serviva un passaggio per l’aeroporto e l’ho prenotato in struttura: il gestore dell’hotel non riusciva a trovare un transfer e quindi si è messo in macchina e mi ha accompagnato fino all’aeroporto, ultimo segno della loro grandissima disponibilità.
