Finally getting a breather so I can finally write this well deserved review! I cannot highly recommend Pyramid Loft enough if you are visiting Egypt!!||||We were originally meant to be staying at a hostel in Cairo and I am so glad I cancelled it and booked here instead!||||We only stayed here for one night as were only n Egypt for 4 days and wanted to visit Luxor and Cairo too but I really wish we could have stayed here particularly for longer!||||Their customer service was outstanding. When we arrived we were upgraded to a better room and when asked what we had planned for our stay I explained how we’d hoped to get the overnight train to Luxor but I’d had no success booking it.||||Thomas was absolute fantastic! Not only did he go out his way to make sure we got return tickets on the overnight train, he also made sure we were picked up and taken to another hostel who then gave us a room free of charge till we left that night so we could rest and freshen up.||||He booked all our tours for us - fantastic deals by the way!! - and when we went on the Nile dinner cruise the minute the staff were told we were with Thomas we got some of the best seats on the boat right next to the dance floor. ||||Pyramid Lofts itself is stunning. The rooms are too a high standard, and you’re not going to get a better view than you do from their rooftop!!||||If I ever return to Egypt I will 100% be going back to stay here.||||Thank you so much Thomas for making sure we had the best and smoothest stay in Egypt! Wouldn’t of been the same without...
Read morePyramid loft homestay had excellent communication with us prior to arrival, ensuring we were safely picked up from the airport in the middle of the night and taken to the hostel. As they knew it was our honeymoon, Tommy, one of the owners, very kindly upgraded us to a better room with private bathroom and chucked in an extra free breakfast. The staff tried to go out of their way to help us and Ahmed in reception always had a lovely big smile to greet us.
We did the Nile night cruise tour and the Giza full day pyramids tour. Both were enjoyable. The belly dancing was not great, but the buffet was generous and a nice introduction to Egyptian food. The male dancers were very impressive.
Our guide at Giza was very good at looking after us and spoke excellent English. He had a good knowledge of the Egyptian history and local sites. He made sure to get us nice photos too.
The room was comfortable, clean and warm enough in winter, with extra blankets available. Towels were provided, though quite small. The was an excellent view of the pyramids from the balcony on our floor and an even better one from the top floor balcony. The hostel is 5 mins walk to the pyramids entrance and there is a delicious local falafel sandwich place at the end of the side road that the hostel is on. We had two different delicious breakfasts both mornings, one morning a local style, the second, continental style.
We had a very enjoyable stay and felt quite at home. Thank...
Read moreWhen I entered my wishes in AirBNB I couldn't really believe such nice & affordable place would be available for 3 people (the eldest daughters didn't want to leave their boyfriends this year AND needed to study for exams in January) Mind you, we are people who hate 5* all inclusive hotels. We do NOT like buffet, noise in corridors, obliged water polo in the pool.... Communication with Thomas via AirBNB site felt honest and genuine and all my queries were answered patiently by Thomas. (location coordinates, 16 beds ? etc) We entered our 2 bedroom loft late at night and Thomas brought us water and towels immediately. We slept like a log in comfy beds (1 separate room for our princess) and woke up with a WOW view ! 50 meters from the Gizeh Pyramids. The rest of our private 2 bedroom apparment was nice as well, exactly as the pictures on AirBNB promised. Bathroom, kitchen and living area all very OK. Be smart and do not hesitate to ask Thomas what's on your mind, he'll answer every question. eg. We should have asked him on our first day how to get to town easiest with public transport. We didn't, so we walked far, took a tuktuk who dropped us as soon as he outreached his ''zone'' etc If we would have asked Thomas immediately, he would have told us to take the blue bus .... as he did when we asked about public transport ....... Am sure that you'll, just like us enjoy your stay ! Don't...
