First time in Egypt and we stayed in room 503 the Executive Suite Panoramic Pyramids View & Jacuzzi. We stayed here for a week at the beginning of Oct 2025. I've given it 3 stars because there seemed to be more cons than pros.|Pros|- The hotel was pretty clean|- If you were going to stay here, book this room.|- The room seemed to be the one furthest away from the outside noise|- This hotel seemed to be one of the best ones around the area when it comes to noise and location.|- The staff were fine and always provided us with extra toiletries if needed.|- I gave the room an overall 4 star only because of how bad the outside was and this was the only place you could feel relaxed.|- Location is 2 stars just because of how close it is to the pyramids, but the outside wasn't good.|- I gave the service 4 stars (would have been 3), but the receptionist at the time of check in did take our suitcases up 1 flight of stairs as the lift only goes up to the 4th floor.||Cons|- The room isn't very private. If you're a woman, bring a little top/bikini set, or just close the curtains (but that defeats the object of having the view). Men should be OK but maybe a pair of shorts?. The hotel across the view is really close so make sure you're ok with people potentially looking at you.|- The shower has a massive open window, so if you're on the toilet or taking a shower, everyone can see you, so bear that in mind.|- Not all the pictures advertised on the website are true. Most of them are, but i noticed the bath tub for room 503 is a double jacuzzi when it's not. The rest seem to be correct.|- The breakfast was very poor & minimal. You don't get a choice of anything, just what you are given and we found the food to be dry like it's been left out. Save on a few pennies and don't book the breakfast and bring your own food over. We were lucky that we brought breakfast bars with us, otherwise we'd be without food (especially due to the lack of shops for decent food isn't around).|- We didn't go for dinner here due to the above point and also we saw/heard a lot of rats, so it was a little off putting, because where we heard them running around, it was close to where they get the food from.|- As you're on the top floor, the rats (like other reviews have mentioned) do run across the ceiling. |- Again, as other reviews mention, the umbrellas on the opposite side of the hotel when looking out at the view just spoil it.|- There was one night where someone tried to get into our room, so we were a bit wary about that. The hotel isn't fully locked so anyone could get into reception, go up the stairs/lift and try any room. There isn't always someone at the front desk monitoring it all. So make sure you lock your room at all times.|- The bath/jacuzzi took a long time to fill so bear that in mind.|- Wifi kept dropping which was annoying as, due to the location of the hotel, we didn't want to leave so had to stay in.|- Minor but there wasn't a lot of plug points so either bring an extension cable or multi plug.||Location & Tips - These points aren't exactly the hotels fault but stuff to watch out for.|- The street view & images advertised online aren't true. It's not as clean as it's made out to be. Expect rubbish all over the place, dogs and people sleeping on the street and horrible smells.|- You will get hounded by the residents on the streets, especially if you're English. If they find out you can speak a bit of English, they will pester you. TIP - Pretend you can't speak English and just keep saying No thank you in their language "la shukran". The first usual question they ask is "where are you from",. Try not to answer and pretend you don't understand or just smile and walk by.|- As we were there for 7 days, they picked up that we were english and the pestering became worse each time and all we kept saying was no thank you and we got a vicious comment from one of the guys on the street saying "You are in our country, you should respect us", but what they don't understand is we said no thank you about 7 times and they continued to ignore our personal space.|- What you hear online about how nice Egypt is, especially Giza, please take with a pinch of salt because it's not 100% true.|- Uber & taxi's were a nightmare, this is one of the reasons why we just stayed in. Uber overcharge you and taxi's drop you off at the wrong location so they can save money. If it wasn't for my partner being used to these kind of scams, 6 ft tall and isn't a push over, i'd be screwed. So don't back down at all. No matter what!|- We understand that people need to make a living but the constant pestering, even after us saying no, makes it impossible to want to help. We gave tips and more money to those who just sat back and let us venture around. Just one shop and one taxi driver out of the whole week.|- There was a couple of days where my anxiety was just too high, i couldn't leave the room, so my partner had to go out and get dinner. On his way back he was harassed yet again, and after saying no thank you as always, one of the local residents said "You don't need to be scared", but it was more in a threatening tone. This is where we really just had enough.|- If you really really want to see the pyramids, i'd 100% recommend booking an all inclusive resort away from this area, and taking the time to travel 6/7/8 hours to go see them and 6/7/8 hours going back. I know it sounds like a lot and a long day of travelling but it's nothing compared to the mental drain you have to deal with around the area. Or just stay here for a night or 2. I wouldn't recommend doing it longer, unless you are fine with all of the above.|- When you're in the pyramids, be prepared to be hounded yet again. One guy on a camel said he will take a picture and we knew he'd want money. We gave him money but he followed us for about 100 yards as he wanted more and got very pushy...

Read moreIt looks like a second review page was created for this hotel because my review is not posted here. This was my experience staying at the hotel: My family of four stayed at this hotel for 3 nights last week (Feb 2020). I was initially very excited to stay here based on the reviews and photos, but the reality was VERY different. We booked two rooms, one with a view and one without, both with double beds. The best part about the rooms was the bathroom, spacious and modern! However, the view was not the view I was expecting, because there were buildings obstructing the view of the pyramids. The heating/AC unit in my room was not working, so we were given a space heater for 3 nights. The tea kettle in the other room was also not working. The breakfast was very disappointing; the first day, the food was laid out on the buffet table, but the next two days, it was made to order (still the same options as the buffet table), but not at all appetizing. Food was usually cold and asking for water bottles seemed to require so much time. I understand that breakfast is complimentary, but the basics should be offering hot food/coffee/tea that is meant to be hot and having some variety instead of only bread and beans and eggs. Also, the WIFI was not working for the first 2 nights, which is a very necessary amenity for me. Every time I would ask the front desk about it, they would say give it 15 minutes, or an hour, or two hours, then it became a night. I was told there were issues with the internet for the entire area, but I went to a restaurant near the hotel one night and their's was working. It was finally working on the last night of our stay. Furthermore, I had mosquitoes biting me in my sleep for the first two nights, MOSQUITOES! I know because they were buzzing in my ear and I woke up with multiple very serious bites, bites causing me to itch for several days. Lastly, there is only one elevator for the entire facility and it only holds like 4 people, so you have to be willing to take the stairs if you don't want to wait for the elevator. I am rating this 2 stars simply because after I expressed all of these concerns to a staff member on my last night, the hotel was willing to slightly adjust the cost of my entire stay (I still feel that what I ended up paying for was overpriced given all of the issues I had). I would say the other major advantage to staying here is the proximity to the pyramids (5 minutes walk to the ticket office). However, given my experience, I would NOT recommend staying...
