I cannot say enough good things about Rami and my time at PTGH! From arranging pick-up at the airport by Ahmed (with flowers!) to making helping us buy train tickets at the end of our stay, Rami went out of his way to make PTGH feel like a second home to me.

The location is down an alleyway and some people with little experience traveling may wonder what they have gotten themselves in for, especially when they start up the stairs, which seem never-ending! But hey! You canโ€™t expect the kinds of views you will see without a little work, right!? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Rami and his entire family and extended network of people all over Egypt will take care of you as if you are family from day one. Also please do not go to Ramiโ€™s house on a diet! It is impossible to even feel hungry for a moment. ๐Ÿ˜†

I am a seasoned traveler and usually do a lot of figuring stuff out on my own but during my stay at PTGH I ended up booking a ton of stuff through Rami. Maybe I could have paid a little less if I had used DiDi or Uber and booked independently but the amount of time saved as well as the convenience (for example, being able to leave stuff in the car while checking out a museum or temple complex), the fact that food was often included AND in many cases having Rami there to explain everything, answer questions, get us into secret places most tourists donโ€™t see and in general just be an amazing person made it 100% worth spending a bit more. I did go to Alexandria on my own and I am kicking myself for not just arranging a day tour through Rami because I know I would have enjoyed myself more and seen probably twice as much.

I did a camel ride where I got to be in charge of the camel (like, not the pony ride version where you are led around by the guide) and we even trotted around out in the open desert in a chaos of cantering horses and speeding 4-wheelers. Also black and white desert camping (bombing around in a 4x4 in incredible terrain, delicious food and amazing stargazing), of course the Pyramids and Sphynx, Saccara and spent a day in Cairo where we saw more things than I can mention, but we especially enjoyed the market where Rami helped us barter and get good prices!

Also just next to the guest house you can go to a jewelry shop where you can watch them make jewelry right in front of you and they give you a fair price.

I am so grateful to have stumbled upon Rami and PTGH. It was hard to tear myself away, but I know I will be...

I have stayed with Rami and his family for 1,5 weeks (in between visiting Aswan, Luxor and the desert). It was wonderful!

I feit a bit scared when I arrived in Egypt, travelling solo. Rami picked me up from the airport and made me feel welcome from the start. And he provided safety. Although I arrived pretty late in the evening, just before midnight, his mother cooked for me and the whole family waited for me to eat together.

In the videocall we had a few days before I flew to Egypt, I felt Rami knows what he is talking about. He was in tune with my energy and needs and understood the journey that I was on and the reason why I needed to come to Egypt. Besides the fact that he knows the touristic places and can get you to places where no other tourguide can get you because he knows all the right people there ๐Ÿ˜

The guesthouse is amazing! Location is great with a spectaculair view to Giza Pyramids. His mother (and sisters) cook wonderful food which they share with everyone staying there (no extra pay) and are very lovely people. I was welcomed into his family with much ๐Ÿ˜˜ and warmth. The Kids, his twin sisters Rania and Rabab, his mother, Achmed the driver.... all such lovely people.

The rooms are clean and provided with toiletries which you can use for free such as shampoo, face cleaning products and shower gel.

Rami took me to a dinner Nile cruise, a sufi show, showed me the Giza pyramids (and got me in before all other tourists came) and created a tour program for me to see all the important temples in/ around Aswan and Luxor. I stayed in the beautiful desert for a few days a with his lovely sister Rania I went to Saqqara and Dashur pyramids.

I feel I have a wonderful Egyptian family now (even 2 cause I also stayed in Luxor with a cousin of Rami and his lovely family ๐Ÿ˜˜).

I could not have wished for a better first experience in Egypt! I hope to return...

Rami's place was absolutely awesome, with an amazing view of the pyramids. The atmosphere was unbelievable, and I had the best experience in Egypt thanks to him. Without Rami, I couldn't imagine how my trip would have turned out. He organized all my tours during my stay in Egypt, not just in Cairo, and I really felt like an Egyptian. There was no hustle or rush; we just had so much fun. Big thanks to Rami and his team! I highly recommend him if you want to enjoy Egypt to the fullest.

The rooms were clean, organized, and neat, with a great view of the pyramids. The food and drinks were delicious, with lots of variety, thanks a lot to Chef Rashad. The hotel highlights include luxury, a great view, a romantic atmosphere, quietness, kid-friendliness, great value, and high-tech amenities.

Overall, nothing but very good things to say about our trip there. Rami is one of the most generous and kind hosts you could imagine. He made us feel so welcome and helped us with everything from transportation to private tours and personal requests. It was truly a marvelous stay, and I highly recommend it to anyone...
