Unforgettable Hospitality & A Wonderful Stay
I stayed at this lovely hotel in Crete for just one night, but the kindness and care I received will stay with me much longer.
After checking out very early in the morning (around 4:20am), I took a taxi—organized by Yiannis, whose family runs the hotel—to Heraklion Airport. In the rush of the morning, I accidentally left my phone in the taxi and only realized it after arriving back in Germany. It was a distressing situation, but Yiannis went above and beyond to help.
Not only did the taxi driver return my phone to the hotel, but Yiannis took it upon himself to assist me every step of the way. He stayed in contact, reached out to DHL, and helped coordinate the safe return of my phone. His willingness to help, his calm communication, and genuine care made all the difference. This, to me, is filoxenia at its finest—true Greek hospitality that goes beyond expectations.
As for the hotel itself: the room was perfect—quiet, clean, with a very comfy bed and modern facilities. The location is excellent, right in the heart of the city, walking distance to the harbor and everything else you'd want to explore in town.
Highly recommended for anyone visiting Crete. A beautiful place run by...
Read moreWe stayed there two night, one after we arrived to Crete and one before we left. First room was decent, although in a need of renovation as it feels a bit run down, and there was barely any WiFi reception. The second room was a disaster, very moldy air in the room, visible mold on the tiles and curtain in the toilet which looks like a temporary box added to the room at some point. The toilet had a only one air vent that led directly back to the room. Also you couldn't keep the windows open because they are at the ground floor looking at the street which can get quite loud with bikes passing by. At least the WiFi reception was decent this time around. It's cheap so depending on the room you get it might be good value for money. Location is good and staff is...
Read moreThe hotel is strategically located a short walk from the centre of Heraklion, with a reception service and a car park a few dozen metres away, which is no mean feat for this city. The rooms, especially my single, are really small but all in all clean and sufficiently spacious, with a well-equipped bathroom and sink in the room, a small TV and a very comfortable bed. For the three nights I stayed there was no cleaning and tidying up of the room, but it had been correctly specified in the offer, in fact perhaps also because of this the price is very competitive and advantageous. I only tried breakfast one morning (the morning of my departure) and was very pleased with the quality...
