We visited one of these homes that sits right in the middle of the sunset crowds of Oia. We are so glad it was pre-season and though the crowds were large they were not like we have seen in spring summer that would be not worth staying here. Though noted as a location perfect to watch the sunset, it needs to be noted that it is also a location in the middle of the crowds that really pretty much destroys the view unless you enjoy having a glass of wine on the small patio just above the crowds as they surround your location and the noise level starts mid-afternoon and continues well after sunset from people walking by and restraints nearby. Great location for people watching as well as the sunset with all the photo shoots and cruise ship groups coming through. Also, the room itself is made for fair weather and not for the storm that we had one night with shutters blowing open, rain pouring in, and heater not able to keep the room warm due to severe draft through doors/windows||The host and service folks however do a great job meeting needs, communicating, taking care of issues. And I give great credit to them meeting their word/web site commitments, and following through that made this visit to...
Read moreThe owner has 2 different locations for the houses. One is near the Oia Castle (which we were told were the smaller studio apartments) and one near the windmills (which is their larger apartment which can house 4 people). We stayed at the one by the Windmill even though it was just the two of us. The apartment was plenty big and clean. ||The location is great with a nice view of the sunset. Oia is small so everything is easily reachable. Crowds at sunset pour in but we don’t mind it. Very peaceful in the early morning and after sunset as the superior apartments are a bit away from the Castle where the crowds are larger.||The host was great. Helped us in every way and had some nice conversation with him and his wife. ||If you want to stay in the middle of all the cave houses this is not it but it’s a good location. Our next visit we will probably stay at the cave houses on the cliff but that’s not because Evilio houses...
Read more➕ ||1) We stayed at the Studio with Panoramic Sunset View for 2 nites in mid-Sep. Paris was a wonderful host with good spoken English. He was there waiting for us at bus stop to greet us and help us with our large bags (be aware of the rocky steps if you plan to go by yourself). ||2) The location was good with amazing sunrise view (inside the room) and sunset view (@ balcony). It got really busy at sunset and the balcony was surrounded by other travellers due to the stunning view. But we got our own private seats in balcony.||➖||Better to be provided with an option of served breakfast. Vacations are meant to be a little lazy without cooking, while we would love to stay in the apartment...
