ON HOSTELWORD THE BAD REVIEWS ARE BLOCKED, AND THE MANAGER REPLIES TO THE 4 STAR REVIEWS IN THE ABSOLUTE RUDEST MANNER. Literally the worst "hostel" ever. To start with the positive, the receptionist did let me check in late which was very nice, and there is a terrace with a gorgeous ocean view. However, there are rats living in the trees on the terrace! Gross! Also, really good to note!!!: NOT CASH ONLY. Italians don't have to pay taxes on any cash, so they prefer cash, but they do accept CC! The receptionist was incredibly rude about it though. The "hostel" is located way up on a hill, NOT downtown like advertised. The rooms are absolutely horrendous. I was put in the attic with a cot. The kitchen has dirty dishes, spiders, and the stove doesn't work. Half the outlets/light switches don't work, and the bedside table lamps don't even have outlets. The room was NOT clean, and the sheets felt gross. Wifi is ok, but slow. The bathroom was disgusting, had terrible lighting, the toilet barely flushed, and the shower wasn't clean. The owner of this place is without any doubt one of the biggest jerks in the galaxy, and that's because I have to remain polite here. There were plenty of beds left at his "hostel" for €23 on HostelWorld, so I didn't mind booking. When I arrived as a young backpacker, he said the hostel is only for "students", you will have take a room for €50. That's ridiculous, because, if I had booked online, he would have had no choice but to give me a bed for €23, so it's just a rip off he tries with people who did't book online. Of course, all that in the rudest and careless way possible. Just avoid this place by any mean, such a crook should not even be on...

The private room is really bad, i can not even stand straight in the room. This is not the way to promote a nice toen and I think it should not be allowed to even offer a room in such bad conditions.
We booked for 2 nights but we left after the first one.
No airco, if u open the windows insects and mosquitos will take their chance!
Dust was hanging on the sealing, and there is just 1 electricity socket.
Also a label pointing out to clean your dishes which were not clean in the first place, btw who would place their toilet under the shower 😆
Riomagiore is very nice, so spend a little extra money instead...
