The two young men who helped check us in & walked us across the plaza of Campo de Fiori to the apartment building they own were helpful. The apartments are where we stayed for 4 nights and it mostly worked out well for our family BUT is not represented in the photos or descriptions of this hotel. After seeing the charming and cute hotel, the apartments felt a tad neglected but functional and sufficient. Plus side was that they are large one bedroom apartments with sofa beds in the living room giving plenty of space. I searched for hotels with elevators and AC because we travelled with an elderly person. The apartments do NOT have an elevator but the staff offered to help carry up our luggage. (The plus side is the AC is nice and strong. A highlight after walking around Rome through a heat wave). The apartment hallways and stairwell are in pitch black darkness in the evening unless you know where the switches are. And the lights are on a timer so one time, the lights turned off unexpectedly & it went completely dark while we were in the middle of descending the stairs. That was extremely frightening for my kids. So be sure to note where those light switches are for the hallway/stairway ahead of time. It is 51 steps up from the bottom level to the front door of the 3rd level apartment and the steps are old so they’re slanted and uneven. Another downside to the apartments is if someone is staying on the floor above you. We were originally supposed to be on level 2 instead of 3 but swapped so grandma wouldn’t have to climb extra stairs (she flew home earlier). But new guests stayed on the 4th floor on our last night there and the amount of noise that came from them dragging up their luggage at midnight and walking around and talking was quite loud! We did appreciate having a small kitchen (fridge is small but decently sized) to use but both non-stick frying pans were scratched up which is dangerous to consume food from! Please replace the pans! I’d recommend the apartments belonging to Hotel Campo de Fiori if you need more space but with the caveat that you are OK with there being no elevators and that the apartments are way different from the hotel.

We ADORED the Hotel Campo de' Fiori! The rooms were beautiful, the staff was friendly and helpful, the location was convenient - it is a very special place! We only had three nights in Rome, but we made the most of our time. The hotel staff (Valentina I believe) set up a couple of tours that turned out just amazing. I feel confident they use only the best tour companies! First, Raquela from "Eyes of Rome" took us on a tour of the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Cathedral. SHE WAS AWESOME! Her knowledge really made the tour SO much more meaningful and she gave us information that we would not have otherwise known. The other tour we did was with Matteo and "Best Tours Italy". I cannot say enough good things about this! It was a golf cart tour and we kind of designed our own - we wanted to see the Appian Way and the catacombs. Matteo delivered an amazing tour with so much information about not only the Appian Way but also several additional things in Rome that are "off the beaten path" which is exactly what we were hoping for! Both were just fantastic tours and guides - if you stay here, trust their recommendations for tours! All this to say, A++ stay at Hotel Campo de' Fiori! We are already planning another trip and can't wait to return! Grazie!!

One of the best locations to be, all main attractions are walking distance. Restaurants and bars right in front of the hotel, Osteria Da Fortunata is around 1 minute walk, Roscioli also less than 5 mins walk... but the Trastevere are is a 10 mins walking top, so each night you can also walk to the best restaurants in Rome. Also right at the hotel there is a mini market where you can buy anything you need for fair prices, we also bought a panino in that super market that was prepared at the moment, aside that it was delicious, the panino we got was less than 3 Euros and was enough for me and my wife to eat both from it. The hotel is beautiful and the views from rooftop are astonishing. Highly recommended, specially if you are looking for a place to mainly sleep before hitting the roads. All in the front desk were very kindly and helpful, they also picked up us from the airport for a very good price, considering that Taxis from FCO to Rome have a fixed price of $55 Euros and not counting taxes and charges from bags, the price the Hotel charged us to pick up us and take us to the hotel was a very good deal, I highly recommend to get that service. We had no issues in our stay. We will be coming back!

We just returned home after spending 10 wonderful days as a guests of the Campo de Fiori Hotel. If you are looking to be in the heart of the old city of Rome, you're not going to find a better place. We stayed in room 502 which overlooks Piazza del Biscione, Piazza Campo de Fiori is to the right of the hotel. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom in our room was very modern and exceptionally clean. A few steps down the hall is a stairway to the roof top terrace. The terrace is open to all guests 24 hours a day and you're going to spend most of your time at the hotel relaxing here and taking in the incredible views, smells and sounds of the neighborhood. The views... well, the gallery on the hotel website cannot do them justice, you have to be there. The smells, well there are so many restaurants within less than a 5 minute walk out the front door of the hotel, you're not going to be there long enough to try 10% of them. The hotel staff are going to be your best resource for suggestions on where to dine. The sounds: There are roaming musicians that go from Piazza to Piazza entertaining tourists for whatever donations are bestowed on them. There are 4 places to buy a bottle of wine or whatever you would like within 200 feet of the hotel, bring it up on the roof top terrace with your camera and relax after a day of wandering around the city, or planning your next adventure. Did I mention the view from the roof top terrace? If you would like, you can walk 30 ft out the front door of the hotel to Al Biscione Caffe and get a cappuccino to go and venture up to the Terrace. Although I would not suggest eating at Al Biscione Caffe, it is a wonderful place to sit outside and enjoy a drink and watch the people go by, or visit any of the 10 other places within 200 ft in Piazza Campo de Fiori. During the day, Piazza Campo de Fiori is an open air market and is transformed into an open Piazza once again in the late afternoon. Location location location. The Vatican is about a 15 minute walk (you can see it from the roof top terrace). The Pantheon is a 10 minute walk (you can see it from the roof top terrace). Piazza Navona, 5 minute walk. Colosseum is maybe 20 minutes walking. Trevi fountain maybe 20 minutes walking and it has recently been reopened after being restored to its original condition and is spectacular. Spanish steps are about 30 minute walk and are currently being renovated. The hotel staff will help you to find your way with a map and directions, but then, there is not much you could ask of the staff at the Campo de Fiori that they will not be able to gladly help you with. The staff are amazing, they want you to feel like a welcome friend not just a guest. Campo de Fiori is a boutique hotel, it is not an all inclusive mega hotel with a pool, spa and restaurants. Can you find less expensive places in the area, absolutely. Will you find a better place for the money? I don't think so, they are right priced. I strongly suggest you make your reservations directly with the Campo de Fiori. You're not going to pay more and the staff makes it so easy and will answer any of your questions rather quickly via email or phone. Did I mention the roof...

I wish the hotel looked like the photos. My stay at this hotel inspired me to get tripadvisor just to warn those who want to stay here. As a family of four it is difficult to be able to find hotels in Europe that will host 4 people. That was why we were so excited when we found this hotel, as they offer an "apartment" option for 4+ people. The photos they advertise are simply laughable compared to what we experienced. Upon check in we were told we would actually not be staying in the hotel and instead in a different apartment building. So what was supposed to be a beautiful hotel, ended up being an apartment that was not even in the same building and a 5 minute walking away across a very busy square. This apartment has no elevator (though online they advertise it), no lights in the hallway, and several concrete stairs (that lead to suitcases being broken after the hotel staff offered to carry the bags). If I wanted to stay in a random run down apartment building I would have booked with airbnb. Upon entering the room we were greeted with folding chairs and tables as furniture, sheer curtains (when they are supposed to be blackout), and paint flaking off the wall. And this was just the beginning. I simply don't know where they found the photos they put on their website, but I guess they owe their marketing team a raise for the fake photos they were able to find. A tipping point was at 6am on our first night in the hotel an alarm woke us all up going off. Because we weren't staying in the hotel we had to whatsapp the hotel and wait for assistance and help. Once someone FINALLY answered we were told we had to wait again for someone to walk over. By the time someone came over we learned the gas alarm in the room was going off. The response to this was to simply unplug it and that someone would come by to fix it. They also said as long as we didn't turn anything on in the apartment we should be fine, "should" is not a reassuring word when gas is leaking into your room. That night we checked in to make sure it was fixed AND THAT GAS WAS NOT LEAKING INTO OUR ROOM, but we were told it was fixed but weren't provided information on what the problem was or if it was safe. What was most concerning about this experience was the next Morning the alarm went off again, and the hotel showed no concern and didn't come out to fix it. When a gas alarm is going off in your hotel you should fix it. The room issues aside the hotel staff was often rude and not accommodating. On saturday night we were having flight issues and asked to change the car we booked to the airport. But Luciano, the worker on staff refused to call the driver or work with us to find a solution and told us we would have to take a car at 5:30am for a 2:30pm flight. This was the cherry on top of a horrible experience. I understand this review is long, but just now it is the highlights at the top of my head and not even everything we endured...

We stayed in the nearby B2 apartment for 3 nights in March. We are 1 couple + 2 adult females. Highly recommend.

Location and noise: On the corner of the piazza it is convenient for taxis to get to but also not too far away to walk to most places. The apartment is well insulated allowing for a peaceful sleep - one of our group even slept with the window open. The apartment itself fully faces the piazza and so the views from every room is full of life. We had a car so we parked in a nearby secure parking garage - I think the cost for us was around 30Euro per day. The garage space is very good although in the day it is very busy and hard to find a good space for a larger car. We found it hard to drag luggage on cobbled roads to the hotel so we got a taxi but without luggage its an easy 10minute walk and avoids getting a fine for driving in the ZTL. Although breakfast was not included there are plenty of options nearby. Food is not a problem in this area with so many great options nearby

The apartment You check into the main hotel and then they call some guys to carry your luggage to the actual apartment overlooking the flower market. It is accessed via a secured door and then there is a small elevator and a few stairs to the apartment itself. The apartment has a large living room with table, main bedroom (with private ensuite bathroom), a loungeroom (with TV and comfortable sofabed, small kitchen, a bathroom and a 2nd bedroom. In total there are 3 different sleeping spaces with doors for total privacy. Showers were excellent with hot water and good pressure. I did not pay attention to the air-conditioning to comment on what it would be like during a hot summer night but I assume that it would still be perfect The beds were flat and supportive - no one complained of a bad back or aching joints. We were able to enjoy walking over 15kms every day and rest well every night.

Service Valentina was amazing - thank you so much for helping us. All of the staff were excellent and communicating in English as easy. They gave great recommendations for all of our specific food requests and we eager to help us to enjoy our stay. On check out they ordered a taxi for us and came outside to make sure the taxi...
