KOBE BEEF DAIA KANNON-DORI BRANCH — Local services in Tokyo

First time bad experience on Oct 1 taking my parents there for dinner. Photos for evidence and comparison. From the photos, you can see the store I ate in Osaka with much cheaper price is much better than this store.

1. we ordered each person Kobe beef rice box 3900yen expecting 2 rows of Kobe beef per photo in menu. It came out one row Kobe beef and minced beef (see photo). Far from what we order from menu. Minced beef??? I am not coming to eat minced beef from supermarket!!
2. meat outer layer is overcooked, eggs are overcooked and minced as you can see. Eggs should be given as raw to go with, not dry minced per my experience
3. Kobe beef is tough and it is lot worse than what we ate A5 waygu with much cheaper price in Osaka. You can see in the photo, no fat pattern and very lean, completely different from what you see in the menu.
4. they charged 10% extra service charge for each person that's what we didn't know until we went into the store.
5. we expect a lot with many awards claimed in the store but nothing has claimed our smiles after the dinner, we were disappointed and will not come back again.
6. the waitress said the orange juice is fresh squeezed but actually we can tell this is not, tasted like from minute maids.
7. for this quality I will think this is overpriced for this Kobe box quality. The food layout is not authentic Japanese, it is very North American style food to me.
8. Foreigners may find it tasty but experienced people may find it not as good. It does not melt into your mouth.
9. service is generally not bad but the waitress cannot speak or understand English in the tourist area. I don't think this incident is due to miscommunication since the set dinner is very straight forward to order.

If you’re a fan of high-quality beef and exceptional service, you must go to KOBE BEEF DAIA in the Kannon-Dori area. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by Sakura with warmth and hospitality.

The highlight of the evening, of course, was the Kobe beef. The preparation was absolutely flawless. The meat was tender, perfectly marbled, and grilled to perfection. Each bite melted in my mouth, offering a rich, savory flavor that only top-tier Kobe beef can provide.

In addition to the beef, the sides and accompaniments were equally superb. The sauces complemented the meat perfectly, and the vegetables were crisp, fresh, and thoughtfully paired. Every element of the meal had been prepared with care and precision.

What truly elevated the entire experience, however, was my waitress, Sakura. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, guiding me through the menu with genuine enthusiasm. She took the time to explain the different cuts of Kobe beef, helping me choose the best options based on my preferences. Sakura was always nearby, making sure my Sake was full and that I was enjoying everything. Her excellent service made me feel truly valued as a guest.

So I’ve been in Asakusa a few days. Near Senso-ji. It is a concentrated food Mecca. After having my sushi fill, I really wanted some Wagyu. There are many many places to choose, but I like to sort of pick on feel.

I was walking around and stopped in front of Kobe Beef Daia Kanin. The hostess, Misaki, came out to greet meet. She was professional and pleasant. I sort of quizzed her a bit. The meal I was interested in was the Red Meat (tender) for 6500 yen or about $45 USD

It comes with miso soup, miso paste, wasabi, roasted garlic rice, sweet scrambled egg and minced meat.

The meat was tender and juicy—exactly what I’d hoped it would be. Everything was totemo oishi desu! (Very delicious)

My plate was cleared

A server came over to check on me, Ro, and she was also pleasant.

The atmosphere was laid back which I appreciated. It was the right fix at the right time. And now I have a cool Wagyu place to hit on my next visit.
