Asakusa — Local services in Tokyo

To get this straight- I‘m a big fan of Matsumoto Leiji which is why I took this cruise. If it wouldn’t be for my respect and love for him, I would have turned right at the Asakusa Pier ticket booth: here I encountered the most unfriendliest person on my three week Japan trip. She acted as if she is Queen Emeraldas and grant me the cruise on her vessel. Maybe it was also that she did not speak Japanese that we had difficulty in communicating with each other as she was constantly replying in her eyes rolling pissed off manner on my questions (once I spoke to her in Japanese and my level goes beyond こんにちは　btw she replied in English and vice versa when switching to English) never know as that is the last time they will see me - the ride itself is nice though nothing I would get super excited over Himiko and Emeraldas boarded. Had a great time on the Space Boat traveling from Asakusa to Odiaba. Prices are very reasonable approximately $12usd (~¥1700) from Asakusa to Odiaba . If you understand Japanese you get a great tour as you travel the Sumida River with commentary provided by Tokyo’s resident alien. Be sure to get to the front of the line to have your choice of the best seats. Once the boat travels further down the river to where the bridges are higher, the crew will open the observation deck for even more fantastic views. Premium seating is available by reservation for an additional $30usd (¥4000) or so. I’d definitely recommend the premium seating for the evening cruise and when you like to share a drink...
