AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!We have travelled all over Asia and make a point of staying in various hotels of all descriptions when we visit any city, region or country and this is by far one of the worst we have visited in relation to difference from what you think you are getting and what you actually end up with. Customer service is non-existent and in many cases rude and dismissive. Rooms are sweaty, smelly and dirty with paper thin walls so you hear everything going on next door and outside on the road late into the early hours of the morning with the hotel being placed at the very end of the local bar street and what felt to be the final stop on the Hanoi bar Crawl some nights!Nothing works! when we arrived we were initially met with a room where the air con blew hot air despite whatever setting you out it on, many plug sockets would not work so charging our phones was entertaining, the safe did not work which resulted in our passports and money being locked away which resulted in again another trip tot eh front desk to get someone to come open it. When we arrived we were initially locked out of our bathroom, their solution being to move us 'temporarily' to another room 3 floors up. But we were not allowed to stay there as it was booked out the next day, you could have fooled us as the room was a mess and dirty. When my wife turned on the shower she was met with brown water for at least 3mins before it ran clear. I highly suspect this hotel has legionnaires in some of it's rooms so beware!Overall, this is an overpriced hotel staffed by ** and in need of a major renovation and update.Avoid it at all costs, especially if you...

The room settings are well-thought-out, offering a comfortable and clean environment that immediately makes you feel at home. However, there were a few areas where the hotel could improve. The towels, despite being clean, appeared old and worn, which was a bit off-putting. Additionally, the lack of provided slippers was an inconvenience. Service speed also left something to be desired; requests for simple items like a laundry bag, Milo sachets, bottled water, and coffee required multiple calls and longer wait times than expected, indicating room for improvement in their housekeeping responsiveness.
Despite these setbacks, the hotel's location is its strongest suit. It's incredibly convenient, with easy access to a wide array of dining, shopping, and entertainment options. For anyone looking to explore Kuala Lumpur and enjoy its vibrant city life, Indie Hotel's location is unbeatable.
Overall, if you prioritize location and a minimalist charm over luxury amenities, Indie Hotel offers a solid choice. With some improvements in service and amenities, it could enhance its appeal...
Read moreFirst of, it was a gamble for me to get the hotel, I was looking for something with in reach, of food and shopping, but not too close and smack in the middle of it.||It was worth the gamble, the place was quiet enough, surrounded by trees and birds chripping. And it's more or less within reach or Changkat (Nite life), Jalan Alor (Food eating), Bukit Bintang (Shopping).. and the few others.. google it. most of the place of interest are within walking distance, or you can always Grab (Online Cab) your ways around.||The staff, the nice Malay lady was pleasent upon our arrival, and the Bangladeshis general worker are pleasent as well when I talked to them, helpful enough to their capabilities and knowledge. ||Being a smoker myself.. the rooms with corridors are awesome.. just get an astray, or like the wife and I did, made a makeshift astray from empty can of drink. ||The room is clean, the water pressure was great, the water heater is great.. the room we got was clean enough for us. We brought our own room slippers really.. everything was great. The only downside is, we didn't spend a lot of time in the room we got, as we were exploring the city (my feet still sore, in a good way).. ||Would be a pleasure to be a guest there next time. Room...
